If we surrounded Joel Embiid with shooters.” And he did just that, bringing in Danny Green and Seth Curry. And would you look at that, the Sixers are 6-1 to begin the season. They’ll look to stay hot when they welcome the Washington Wizards to town.
The matchup with Washington bodes well for Philly’s sharpshooters. The Wizards rank 27th in defensive rating and allow opponents to shoot 37.5 percent from 3-point range. Curry has been the hottest of the Sixers’ bunch, hitting 54.3 percent on 3-pointers on 5.0 attempts per game this season, and has gone 13-21 (61.9 percent) from beyond the arc over his last four games. We like Curry to stay hot from deep in this one.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Detroit Pistons
The Milwaukee Bucks look like they’re starting to find their footing this season, and that could mean bad things for the rest of the league, and tonight it’s the Detroit Pistons that need to watch out.
After trading wins and losses to start the season, the Bucks have won three of their last four games, averaging 125.8 points per contest. That includes a 125-115 win as 15.5-point favorites over the Pistons last time out. As a result, Milwaukee now leads the NBA in offensive rating, scoring, field goal percentage, and 3-point percentage.
Wednesday they face a Pistons team that has had trouble slowing down anyone and have just one win this season. Detroit ranks 26th in defensive rating, 25th in scoring, and is dead last in opponent shooting percentage.
One positive to take away from the Pistons is that they have shown some fight, covering the spread as underdogs in three straight games and in four of their last five overall. So, we’ll turn our attention to the first-half spread.
The Bucks are second in the NBA in first-half scoring, putting up 62.6 points per game, and over the last four games have had a first-half margin of 17.5 points, which includes them heading into the break with a 67-56 lead over the Pistons. With a first-half spread of -7.5, we like the Bucks.

Chicago Bulls vs Sacramento Kings
The Chicago Bulls and their high-tempo offense are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning four of their last five games, and they will look to carry that momentum into Wednesday’s game against the slumping Sacramento Kings.
The Kings have dropped three in a row and four of their last five, but are hoping to catch Chicago in a tough spot, as the Bulls are playing the second half of a back-to-back and are coming off a hard-fought victory over the Trail Blazers.
While Sacramento is struggling, one player stepping up his game is Harrison Barnes. The Kings’ wing is averaging 20.3 points on 51.3 percent shooting over the last three games. But his presence has been felt even more on the glass.
Barns is second on the Kings in rebounding at 8.1 rebounds per game, which makes his rebounding total of 6.5 all the more tempting in this matchup. He has only gone Under that number once all season, and while the Bulls are an average rebounding team, they are playing their second game in as many nights and play at the second-highest pace in the NBA. That should mean extra opportunities for Barns to clean up the glass.
