Lakers vs Hornets Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

With Austin Reaves potentially returning to the Lakers lineup, Rui Hachimura will have less pressure from opposing defenses. He'll have an excellent opportunity to clear his 3-pointers prop against a deficient Hornets D.

The Los Angeles Lakers continue their East Coast haul with a road game against the Charlotte Hornets tonight.

Los Angeles hopes to have guard Austin Reaves back in the lineup after he missed three games, which would lift his L.A. teammates, including sharp-shooting small forward Rui Hachimura.

Hachimura is the focus of my best Lakers vs. Hornets predictions and NBA picks on Monday, November 10.

Lakers vs Hornets prediction

Lakers vs Hornets best bet: Rui Hachimura Over 1.5 threes (+115)

Rui Hachimura remains one of the Los Angeles Lakers’ top offensive weapons, but he isn’t great at creating his own scoring opportunities. He’s at his best playing around the Lakers’ superstars, using their gravity to find space for open shots.

With Reaves out for the past three games with a groin injury, Hachimura has drawn closer coverage by rival defenders. That not only shows in his activity from outside – attempting just 10 total 3-pointers in that span – but also the frequency of his “wide open” looks from long range.

In that three-game stretch, Hachimura is 3-for-5 on 3-pointers in which the closest defender is six or more feet away (17.2% frequency). In his six games before Austin Reaves’ injury, he was 12-for-20 on those same looks with a 28.2% frequency.

Reaves’ status for Monday has been upgraded to questionable, so there’s a good shot L.A. will have the sparkplug back in the rotation. Reaves’ ability to attack the interior and kick out to open shooters is a big part of this Lakers offense.

Hachimura, who has hit two more triples in five straight games, was averaging 4.1 shots from beyond the arc before Reaves’ absence. An uptick in attempts could be helped along by a Charlotte Hornets defense allowing the second-highest 3-point percentage to opponents (39.7%).

Player projections sit between 1.5 and 1.9 makes from downtown, giving great value to his Over 1.5 threes at plus-money. He’s hit two or more shots from distance in eight of his 10 games so far in 2025.

Lakers vs Hornets same-game parlay

Reaves powers this Lakers attack, driving to the lane and creating space for his teammates. He’s averaging more than nine dimes.

The Lakers bounce back after laying an egg in Atlanta, taking down a bad Hornets defense.
