The New York Liberty are slight road underdogs when they visit the Chase Center and the Golden State Valkyries.

The Valkyries' defense is a beast at home, and my Liberty vs. Valkyries predictions and WNBA picks expect Golden State to beat the Liberty in a nail-biter.

Liberty vs Valkyries prediction

Liberty vs Valkyries best bet: Valkyries moneyline (-120 at bet365)

With identical 12-7 records, this matchup is a virtual statistical dead-heat on paper.

However, the advanced data heavily favors the Golden State Valkyries, as they boast a premier 103.1 Defensive NET Rating and force opponents into a grinding 91.2 Pace over their last five.

This grind-and-defend strategy will choke off transition opportunities for a sputtering New York Liberty group, which ranks seventh in offensive NET over their previous five contests.

Laying up to -140 straight up on the Valkyries completely avoids any late-game drama.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Golden State allows a paltry 33.3 ppg in the paint and 12.6 points from turnovers this season at Chase Center.

Liberty vs Valkyries same-game parlay

Valkyries moneyline

Under 163.5

Sabrina Ionescu Under 16.5 points

Golden State defends at home. They’ve surrendered a measly 76.3 ppg this season with a stout 98.1 defensive NET rating.

New York won’t mind the grind on the road, as they rank seventh in pace (97.1) across their previous five, which is why I’m playing the Under.

Sabrina Ionescu is still returning to form after a long injury layoff. She hasn’t scored 17 points once this season, and she meets a Valkyries defense allowing 30 ppg to guards at Chase Center.

Liberty vs Valkyries player prop pick

Gabby Williams Over 15.5 points (-130 at bet365)

Gabby Williams is riding a hot hand, and I see no reason why she can’t score at least 16 points tonight.

Williams boasts the highest usage rate of her career (27.1%), which is why she has scored more than 16 points in seven of her last nine games.

As previously mentioned, the Liberty road defense is mediocre. Williams has scored at least 16 points in five of her previous six tilts at Chase Center, and is a good bet to -140.
