Who will win Dodgers vs Padres today: Dodgers (-131)
This line is giving respect to Michael King (3.33 ERA) and the home team over the recently shaky Emmet Sheehan (5.32 ERA) and the visitors.
King’s 4.69 xERA is actually higher than Sheehan’s (4.03), however, and King has surrendered an .839 OPS against the Los Angeles Dodgers’ projected starting lineup.
The San Diego Padres have a 23-20 record at home, which is worse than L.A.’s 27-16 road record, so home-field advantage doesn’t matter much here.
I’ll back the team with the much superior lineup to -145.
COVERS INTEL: Michael King’s three most-often utilized pitches (sinker, changeup, sweeper) all have an xBA above .250. The Dodgers have the highest xBA (.267) in the league and should collect plenty of hits.

There’s prime hitting weather with winds of 9-10 mph blowing out to right field for the majority of the ballgame, so I’m snapping up the plus money on the Over.
The Dodgers have been trending to the Over, going 13-6 O/U in their last 19 games, and saw the bats heat up on Saturday when they plated 15 runs.
Both squads are supposed to have strong bullpens, but that hasn’t been the case lately. San Diego has a 4.15 SIERA in relief over the last 14 days, and L.A. isn’t far ahead at 4.24.
