The total is still at its peak of 222.5, from an opener of 221.5 and a low point of 220.5. The Over is getting 81 percent of bets and 85 percent of money.

The Sixers have won three of their last four games but they are coming off a bad loss to the Pistons, and they haven’t covered in each of their last two games.
However, the Sixers were in a bit of a letdown spot against Detroit, chalked up to the fact that Philadelphia was thinking about this meeting with Los Angeles, so expect Philly to get up for this game at home.
The reason to like the Sixers in this game is Joel Embiid. Normally, Anthony Davis gives the Lakers a massive positional advantage over anybody in the paint, but Embiid is the early-season MVP right now. He’s averaging 27.7 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game on the year, doing that on 55.4 percent shooting from the floor and 40.5 percent shooting from three. And he’s also playing his usual brand of elite defense, chipping in 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.
He should be able to hold his own in this matchup, and that alone would give the Sixers a good shot here.

The Lakers are the top team in the league in defensive rating, and the Sixers are fifth.
That normally would be a recipe for an Under, but Philadelphia just hasn’t been competing as hard on that end of the floor as of late. Over the last five games, the Sixers are actually just 17th in the league in defensive rating, and six of their last seven games – and nine of their last 11 – have gone Over the total.
So while the Lakers definitely get after it on that end, it’s hard to imagine there not being a couple of lapses from both teams here.

Tobias Harris is averaging 19.8 points per game this season and he has scored at least 18 points in 10 of Philadelphia’s last 12 games.
Now, Harris will have to do it against a very good Lakers defense, but he should actually see some very good looks in this one. Sure, he’ll have some time with LeBron James or Davis guarding him, but the two should also spend some time scrambling around in this one.
The Sixers are loaded with shooters this season, so they’ll be swinging the ball around, which will eventually lead to some corner threes for Harris.
