The NBA's Thursday lineup is quiet as usual, on what's typically one of the Association's less-busy nights. Just five games dot the NBA betting landscape for this evening, but there are still plenty of opportunities to make a smart wager.

As we do every day, we've scoured the NBA odds to highlight our favorite bets for this evening's action, including Mike Conley's hot hand for the formerly-streaking Utah Jazz.

Let's jump into our best free NBA picks and predictions for Thursday, February 4.

NBA Picks for Today

Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks snapped their six-game losing streak straight up and against the spread thanks to a 122-116 win against the Atlanta Hawks the last time out. But it will be tough for the Mavs to keep that momentum going as they play their second game in as many nights when they host the Golden State Warriors Thursday.

The Warriors have won three of their last five games but are coming off a 111-107 loss against the Boston Celtics. It was a close game, but the Warriors’ biggest problem in that game has been their biggest problem all season – rebounding. The Dubs are arguably the worst rebounding team in the NBA and were outrebounded 51-36 in that game. But luckily for Golden State, Dallas is almost as bad on the boards.

The Mavericks rank 28th in rebounding percentage and 27th in total opponent rebounds per game. That could provide a big opportunity for the Warriors’ Draymond Green.

Golden State's big men have been hit hard by the injury bug, and they’ll be without Kevon Looney, James Wiseman and Marquese Chriss for this matchup. With the Warriors likely going to a smaller lineup, bet on Green doing some good work on the glass and hit the Over on his rebounding prop, going against a Mavs team that may have tired legs to go along with their poor rebounding.

PREDICTION: Draymond Green Over 6.5 Rebounds (-130)

Houston Rockets vs Memphis Grizzlies

Both the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies have seen their impressive win streaks come to end, but which one will get back into the win column when they meet on Thursday night?

The Rockets saw their six-game winning streak come to an end last night, falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Houston had a problem shooting the ball in that matchup, scoring just 87 points on 38 percent shooting from the floor. On the other side, the Grizzlies had their seven-game winning streak snapped by the Indiana Pacers.

Oddsmakers expect this game to be close, setting the Grizzlies as just 3-point favorites despite the fact the Rockets are playing a back-to-back on the road. But one place the Grizz should have an advantage is on the glass.

Houston ranks 26th in rebounding percentage and 29th in total opponent rebounds per game, and that has us liking the rebounding prop for the Grizzlies’ Brandon Clarke. The power forward averages 5.9 boards for the year, and while he may be in a bit of a rebounding slump, he had a 10-game stretch this season where he went over this number seven times. Clarke should clean up the boards in this matchup.

PREDICTION: Brandon Clarke Over 6.5 Rebounds (-135)

Utah Jazz vs Atlanta Hawks

The Utah Jazz saw their 11-game win streak come to an end over the weekend but followed that up with a 117-105 win over the Detroit Pistons. Now they’ll look to start a new winning streak when they visit the Atlanta Hawks Thursday night.

One of the reasons the Jazz look like a legitimate contender in the Western Conference this season is due to the bounce-back of Mike Conley. The Jazz point guard had a tough first year in Utah but is looking like his old self this season. Conley is averaging 16.8 points per game, while shooting 40.4 percent from 3-point range, to go along with 6.1 assists this season.

Conley has picked up his game even further recently, putting up 18.1 points per game over his last seven contests. That means we’re taking a hard look at his point total of 16.5 in this one – a number he has eclipsed six times over that seven-game stretch.

Now he faces a Hawks defense that while improved, still has some flaws. They rank in the middle of the pack, 11th in defensive rating while giving up the 19th most points per game to opposing point guards. The Hawks have also given up 114.8 points per game over their last six games.

On top of that, Atlanta will once again be without one of its top defenders in De’Andre Hunter and are playing the second half of a back-to-back. Conley should keep cooking in this one.

PREDICTION: Mike Conley Over 16.5 Points (-120)
