The Texas Rangers shifted the World Series odds in their favor after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 Monday night. Game 4 goes tonight at Chase Field, and we've got some great angles on a trio of prop bets.

There are several MLB player props on our radar, with Texas expecting lefty Andrew Heaney to make the start, while Arizona will deploy a bullpen game with left-hander Joe Mantiply opening tonight.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB odds and analyze three prop bets as our MLB picks for Game 4 of the 2023 World Series on Monday, October 30.

Rangers vs Diamondbacks Game 4 props

Prop bet #1: Hanging with Heaney

While many are likely viewing this game as a “bullpen” game, Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy is hoping southpaw Andrew Heaney odds will give him what the Arizona Diamondbacks got last night from Brandon Pfaadt.

Andrew Heaney odds for this prop are set up for a bullpen game. 9.5 outs don’t seem like that much for a starting pitcher, and for most of his career, Heaney has been a starter, and a serviceable one at that.

Heaney won more games than he lost for Texas. He’s done a bit of everything for the Rangers pitching staff and struck out 9.22 with 3.22 walks and 1.40 home runs per nine innings.

Heaney started Game 1 of the ALDS at Baltimore and got 11 outs against a solid Orioles offense in Baltimore. He gave up two hits, allowed a run, and struck out one batter without issuing a free pass.

The Dbacks ranked 21st in OBP and OPS against lefties, and 23rd in runs scored against left-handed pitchers. They didn’t do much against Montgomery until Bochy left his lefty in the game too long, and they likely won’t do much against Heaney, either.

Finally, Heaney is a veteran starter and will be ready for this game. He pitched well enough in his last playoff start to get 11 outs, and I expect him to do the same tonight.

Andrew Heaney prop: Over 9.5 outs (+102 at Caesars)

Prop bet #2: Carter takes the collar

Rangers rookie outfielder Evan Carter enters Game 4 riding an eight-game postseason hitting streak, and he has been fun to watch throughout the playoffs.

Carter has a hit in all but one postseason game he’s played, and he’s been phenomenal for the Rangers. The rookie outfielder is slugging .549 during the postseason and has slashed .417/.462/.583/1.045 with five hits and four strikeouts over a dozen at-bats against this collection of Diamondbacks pitchers.

Someone has to slow this kid down at some point, and tonight is as good as any for us to fade Evan Carter odds.

Carter has been afforded the luxury of batting behind Corey Seager and Aroldis Garcia. Still, with Garcia possibly being out after injuring his back, the young slugger won’t have the same protection in the lineup, which could change the way the Diamondbacks pitch to him tonight, and he may not see as many strikes as he’s enjoyed thus far.

Evan Carter prop: Under 0.5 total bases (+145 at bet365)

Prop bet #3: Phamily affair

Tommy Pham odds are juiced for Game 4, with a four-game hitting streak, and having been hot in general during this series against Texas, batting over .500 with seven hits and a home run over 13 at-bats.

Pham has been a solid performer over his postseason career, hitting .316 with 35 hits and six bombs over 109 career postseason at-bats, and went on a 15-game tear after being acquired by Arizona from the Mets.

This is the second such hitting streak during this postseason. He had a three-game hitting streak that began against Milwaukee and ended with the Los Angeles Dodgers at home, and tonight we could see his four-game hitting streak end tonight.

Heaney has had the sluggers' number over their eight previous encounters. Pham has only one hit in eight previous at-bats against the southpaw, and up until this series, the current collection of Texas pitchers has limited Pham to 24 hits over 101 at-bats.

Finally, Pham has been streaky throughout his career, but +170 is too hard to pass up for a player who batted just .245 against lefties this season with a .238/.300/.356/.656 against this current Texas staff.

Tommy Pham prop: Under 0.5 total hits (+170 at BetMGM) 25% boost available
