The San Francisco Giants will look to Rafael Devers to help exact some revenge after Wednesday's extra-innings loss to the Miami Marlins.
My Marlins vs. Giants predictions and MLB picks for Thursday, June 26, are high on the slugger's power stroke this afternoon.
Marlins vs Giants prediction
My Marlins vs Giants best bet: Rafael Devers Over 1.5 total bases (-105 at bet365)
⚾ Pick Analysis
San Francisco Giants DH Rafael Devers hasn't found his groove with his new team just yet, but the breakout is coming. Remember, he was one of the most consistent bats in baseball before the trade, slashing .272/.401/.504 with 15 home runs and 18 doubles in 73 games.
And that includes his first five games, where he didn't record a single hit and struck out 15 times in 23 plate appearances. Remove that sample, and he hit .292 with a .960 OPS in 68 games.
Devers ranks in the Top 5-10% of all hitters in xSLG, average exit velocity, barrel rate, xwOBA, and hard-hit rate. He makes a lot of hard contact, which often translates into damage.
While Miami Marlins starter Janson Junk has a respectable 2.60 ERA, the 4.20 expected ERA is telling. As is his 22.9% strikeout rate and 1.8% walk rate. Junk lives in the strike zone, and the small sample size of 27 2/3 innings hasn't exposed him just yet.
Only two pitchers have allowed a higher average exit velocity in 2025, and only one has a higher hard-hit percentage against. The right-hander has not allowed a home run, and that is simply unsustainable.
I am high on the Giants in general today, but Devers is my primary target.
Junk is primarily a bulk-innings reliever, which limits his overall usage, so don't expect him to pitch beyond five innings. In that case, Devers can capitalize on a terrible Miami bullpen that has the 23rd-highest ERA in MLB at 4.43 if he fails to get to Junk.
Marlins vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)
🚀 SGP Analysis
Heliot Ramos arguably broke out in 2024, but he's taken his game to another level in 2025. He's on pace to eclipse the 22 homers he hit last season, and he's striking out less frequently while drawing more walks.
This improved approach — whether it's added comfort in his ability or the work he's put in — has him blossoming into a true offensive threat. He's riding a five-game hitting streak where he's cleared 1.5 total bases each time, and he thoroughly punishes right-handed pitching.
This is a "fade Junk" approach, and if Ramos and Devers are both producing at the dish, it won't take much more for San Francisco to plate five runs. If you're feeling extra confident, adding the Giants' run line of -1.5 bumps this SGP up to +650.
