Starting pitchers

Shane Bieber (2-2, 2.48 ERA): The 2020 AL Cy Young winner is off to another terrific start this season, pitching to a 2.48 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with 57 strikeouts in 36 1-3 innings.

He's coming off a game against the Yankees where he allowed two runs and struck out nine batters across seven innings but took the loss with his teammates mustering just a single run of their own.

Dallas Keuchel (1-0, 4.32 ERA): The two-time All-Star has looked a bit shaky so far this season but is coming off his best outing of the year, pitching six scoreless innings against the Rangers.

The southpaw doesn't have great velocity on his pitches but he is excellent at forcing ground balls.

Betting trend to know

The Under is 6-1 in the Indians' last 7 games with the total set at 6.5 or lower. Find more MLB betting trends for Indians vs. White Sox.

Moneyline pick

Cleveland is coming off a loss to the Twins, but prior to that defeat had reeled off three wins in a row. The Indians are currently just 2.5 games behind the White Sox for second place in the AL Central standings despite Chicago winning six of its last seven games.

When it comes to hitting there is absolutely no question which team has the advantage. The White Sox lead the majors in scoring with 5.46 runs per game and are fourth in OPS at .756. The Tribe rank 25th in both runs per game (3.96) and OPS (.672).

Thankfully for Cleveland bettors, that shouldn't matter much because they have Shane Bieber toeing the rubber. The Beebs had an outstanding 1.63 ERA and 0.87 WHIP across 12 starts in 2020 and has a 2.48 ERA with a 0.94 WHIP through five starts this year.

As good as the White Sox lineup has been over the last few years, they've been shut down by Bieber. Bieber pitched a complete game shutout against the White Sox earlier this month. And in three starts against Chicago going back to 2020, he has allowed just three earned runs across 20 innings while fanning 29 batters.

More importantly for bettors, Cleveland won all of those games. Despite the fact that Bieber barely receives any run support from his teammates, Cleveland is 17-5 in Bieber's last 22 regular season starts.

Although White Sox starter Dallas Keuchel had a career-best 1.99 ERA in 2020, he also had a 3.84 xFIP and 81.6 percent strand rate, which hinted that a major regression was coming. And his 4.32 ERA and 1.32 WHIP this season lends credence to that.

With Cleveland going 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between these divisional foes and having the superior starter on the mound tonight, grab the Tribe on the moneyline.

PREDICTION: ML Cleveland (-149)

Over/Under pick

The Over/Under for this game opened at 7 and has already shifted down to just 6.5, but don't be scared off by this low number. Cleveland is absolutely brutal at the plate, averaging just 3.3 runs per game on the road, and Bieber is an absolute stud on the mound.

In Bieber's 17 regular-season starts since the start of last season, a whopping 14 of those contests have seen a total of six runs or fewer.

The Under is also 5-2 in Chicago's last seven games with the O/U set at 6.5 or lower, while also cashing in six of the last eight meetings between these teams at Guaranteed Rate Field. Take the Under again.

PREDICTION: Under 6.5 (-105)
