HR Prop #1: Randy Arozarena
The Seattle Mariners have numerous dangerous power hitters in their lineup. While Cal Raleigh gets a lot of the attention, Randy Arozarena is still putting up impressive numbers. He’s smacked 25 bombs this year.
Arozarena has gone deep twice in his last four games and just left the yard on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres. He’ll face Yu Darvish tonight, and Arozarena is 2-for-5 lifetime versus the Japanese starter with a home run.
Since making his season debut, Darvish has struggled with the long ball. He’s given up seven of them in only nine outings. Arozarena also has 17 round-trippers off right-handed hurlers, and 16 of his homers have come at T-Mobile Park.
HR Prop #2: Bo Bichette
The Toronto Blue Jays continue to stay hot, and Bo Bichette is certainly doing his part.
The infielder still leads the majors in hits, and he’s also cranked 16 home runs on the year. Bichette may not go deep on a regular basis, but he’s certainly capable.
Bichette is hitting .380 in August with three homers. He’ll face Simeon Woods Richardson of the Minnesota Twins tonight, and Bichette’s only hits in two at-bats against him landed in the bleachers. The 27-year-old also has 10 long balls off righties.
Bichette has nine hits across his last four games. He cannot be stopped right now. It’s only a matter of time until one of those hits leaves the yard.
HR Prop #3: Christian Walker
Christian Walker sits on the doorstep of another 20+ home run season. He’s gone deep 19 times, and I’m predicting No. 20 this evening.
The Houston Astros face the Colorado Rockies, and it’s Chase Dollander on the bump. He has a 6.91 ERA and has surrendered 16 bombs in 18 starts.
While Walker hasn’t smacked a homer off Dollander, he is 2-for-2 lifetime. The righty is clearly struggling, even giving up seven earned runs last time out.
Walker has done nearly all of his power damage against right-handed pitchers, smacking 17 home runs.
He’s also found his power stroke lately. The 34-year-old has three round-trippers in his last five games.
Walker could make Dollander pay tonight. If not, Colorado’s bullpen is also terrible, allowing 76 home runs.
