Take away Chase DeLauter and the Guardians lineup is struggling. Welp. He's not playing tonight, so Andrew Caley's MLB predictions like the Dodgers to roll behind Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Cleveland Guardians and the Los Angeles Dodgers have split the first two games of this three-game set, with the rubber match set to go in Chavez Ravine tonight.

After having to deal with Shohei Ohtani, the pitcher last night, now Cleveland must face L.A.’s ace, Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

My Guardians vs. Dodgers predictions and MLB picks break down why this matchup is expected to be an uphill battle for the underdogs, set to take place at 8:20 ET at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 1.

Who will win Guardians vs Dodgers today: Dodgers moneyline (-270)

The Cleveland Guardians saw the best version of Shohei Ohtani, the pitcher, we’ve seen in a while and struck out 10 times last night.

And strikeouts have been a problem for them all season, owning the third-highest K-rate at 29.5%. That doesn’t get any easier against Los Angeles Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The World Series MVP picked up where he left off last season, allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out six over six innings in his first start.

He also ranked in the 89th percentile in K-rate last season. With Chase DeLauter sidelined, this Guardians lineup looks thin.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Yamamoto has recorded six or more strikeouts in 13 consecutive starts dating back to last season.

Guardians vs Dodgers Over/Under pick: Under 8 (-110)

Even with DeLauter’s hot start, Cleveland still owned the fourth-worst OPS and wRC+ at this early point in the season.

It sounds like DeLauter will be fine after fouling a ball off his foot last night, but he’ll sit this one out to rest.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers have an all-time lineup but they're off to a bit of a slow start, and haven't scored more than four runs in each of the last three games.

And the Guardians are hoping Gavin Williams will be their best starter this season.
