The San Francisco Giants head to Southern California this evening to begin an NL West series with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

With Logan Webb struggling against L.A. this season, my Giants vs. Dodgers predictions expect a high-scoring affair.

Read more in my MLB picks for Thursday, September 18, with first pitch set for 10:10 p.m. ET from Dodger Stadium in Chavez Ravine.

Giants vs Dodgers prediction

Giants vs Dodgers best bet: Over 7.5 (-110)

Logan Webb is a stud, but he’s pitched very poorly against the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025. While his 3.34 ERA is certainly respectable, the right-hander allowed six earned runs to L.A. last week. They also lit Webb up for another six earned earlier in the campaign.

He did have one outing against the Dodgers where he allowed only two earned runs, but overall, they’ve had his number. The reigning World Series champions also just won 5-0 on Wednesday, and their offense is swinging it very well at the moment. Plus, Dave Roberts’ squad has scored 23 runs across the last two meetings with the Giants.

As for Yoshinobu Yamamoto, he’s had a couple of flawless starts against the San Francisco Giants, while also surrendering five earned runs in the other. And as we know, the Dodgers’ bullpen has been an issue all year.

Whether it’s the Dodgers blowing out San Francisco again or both teams producing offense, we will see runs scored. The Over has cashed in back-to-back games between these two as well.

Giants vs Dodgers same-game parlay (SGP)

We’ll stick with Webb for the first part of my SGP. As previously mentioned, he’s had minimal success against the Giants’ divisional rivals. The right-hander has allowed 12 earned runs combined across his last two appearances against Los Angeles. His ERA also sits at 3.54 on the road, compared to 3.18 at home.

Mookie Betts has been raking this month. He’s hitting .349 so far with five home runs and 19 RBI. The veteran owns a .261 average overall, and he’s dominated Webb in the past. Betts is 16-for-42 (.381) with a pair of round-trippers against him.

Last week, he cashed the Over in hits in back-to-back games against San Fran. Betts also has four multi-hit games in his last eight contests.
