Dodgers vs Rockies best bet: Teoscar Hernandez Over 0.5 RBI (-125)
The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to do some damage at the plate in the friendly hitting confines of Coors Field. Their team total is priced up at 6.5 in a matchup against Kyle Freeland.
The veteran lefty has had his share of struggles (5.18 ERA and 5.47 xERA), and that’s to be expected at this point. It’s the third consecutive season in which his ERA is above 5.00.
He doesn’t generate strikeouts (15.6% K rate) and has a first percentile xBA (.307). One good thing about his game is that he avoids issuing free passes (5.8% walk rate), but that helps lead to opportunities in the player prop market for opposing batters.
Teoscar Hernandez has demolished left-handed pitching this season, slashing .308/.341/.615 with a 163 wRC+. If the Dodgers are going to score as many runs as their team total implies, it’s likely that Hernandez plays a part.
The Colorado Rockies have been atrocious out of the bullpen (5.39 ERA), so Hernandez’s opportunities are not limited to his favorable matchup against Freeland.

Shohei Ohtani is 4-for-6 with two home runs against Freeland in their prior meetings, and his runs scored prop correlates nicely with Hernandez recording an RBI.
