With Yoshinobu Yamamoto toeing the rubber today, our Game 2 Dodgers vs. Brewers expert picks aren't falling for the Game 1 result.
Our analysts expect Yamamoto to keep the Brewers lineup in check, and our MLB picks for Monday, Oct. 12, all follow that general theme.

Josh Inglis' expert pick: Brewers team total Under 2.5
Price: 46¢ at Polymarket
It's time to back Yoshinobu Yamamoto and hit the Under on the Milwaukee Brewers' team total of 2.5, which I have at a fair probability of 52%.
The right-hander pitched to a 2.06 ERA in the second half, allowing just 26 hits over 40+ innings. He went seven frames and allowed just one run vs. the Braves in the NLDS and is pitching on extra rest.
Dating back to last year's postseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers are 6-1 when Yamamoto pitches, and he owns a 1.42 ERA and 2.45 FIP. He's recorded 21+ outs in four of his last five postseason starts.
The Milwaukee bats can't be too confident after last night's 2-1 win, and Yamamoto's leash should be long as the Dodgers look to even the series.
Analyst Colby Marchio joins the party, backing Yamamoto to allow Under 4.5 hits as one of his favorite Dodgers vs. Brewers props.
Neil Parker's expert pick: Dodgers moneyline
Price: 55¢ at Polymarket
If Yamamoto is on the hill in the playoffs, I’m backing the Dodgers to 60%.
Los Angeles has won 10 of Yamamoto’s 11 postseason appearances over the past three years, and the go-to righty has posted a high-end 3.21 xERA and 3.39 xFIP.
He’s limited opposing hitters to pedestrian .225 wOBA and .098 ISO during the 63-inning run, and Yamamoto has also held the Brewers to a minuscule .283 xwOBA and .103 xISO for his career.
Obviously, the Brewers are still playing for a reason, but starter Logan Henderson wasn’t sharp in his playoff debut, with three walks, a 4.22 xERA, and a 5.71 xFIP in five frames.
See why Neil is also bullish on Shohei Ohtani's power profile in his Dodgers vs. Brewers predictions.
Joe Osborne's expert pick: Dodgers moneyline
Price: 55¢ at Polymarket
When Yamamoto pitches in the playoffs, the Dodgers win.
They’re 10-1 in his 11 postseason appearances, and it’s no coincidence. His career playoff ERA dropped to 2.14 after he carved up Atlanta for 10 strikeouts over seven innings of one-run ball last week.
He also held Milwaukee to two earned runs across 13 innings this season. L.A. put 13 runners on base but scored just once in Game 1. I expect them to capitalize tonight in a desperation spot and will happily ride Yamamoto’s big-game success.
Dustin Saracini's expert pick: Under 6.5
Price: 45¢ at Polymarket
I'd play this one up to 49%. Runs will simply be tough to come by tonight with two aces on the mound.
We all know what Yamamoto brings every time he gets the ball in the postseason. He allowed just one run against the Braves across seven innings while punching out 10 in his lone start in the 2026 playoffs to date.
He's limited this Brewers lineup to a .229 xBA and .283 xwOBA over 76 at-bats, and should work deep into the game as a result.
Henderson has had similar success in this spot, owning a 27% strikeout rate against the Dodgers, with Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Tucker, and Andy Pages combining to go 2-for-17 against him.
