The Minnesota Wild are slim 51% home favorites tonight as they take on the surging Vegas Golden Knights at Grand Casino Arena, with the puck drop scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

While Minnesota has dominated this matchup recently, my Golden Knights vs. Wild prediction targets Vegas to stay hot.

 TOP PICK
Golden Knights vs Wild prediction: Golden Knights moneyline

Play up to 55%.

The Vegas Golden Knights are off to a torrid start, entering tonight's game on a four-game winning streak. While this is certainly one of their toughest tests yet, the underlying metrics favor Vegas, which is also unbeaten on the road.

The Stanley Cup finalists own a 62.1% 5-on-5 expected-goal share, compared to just 48.1% for Minnesota. The Golden Knights also rank fifth in scoring, generating 3.63 expected goals per game, compared with only 2.57 for the Minnesota Wild.

Minnesota has been fantastic defensively, but Vegas has controlled possession and chance quality more consistently. With that superior offensive process, I like the Golden Knights in this spot.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Vegas owns a 60% even-strength high-danger chance share, while Minnesota sits at just 47.1%, indicating the Golden Knights have consistently generated the more dangerous scoring opportunities.

Golden Knights vs Wild combo

I'm combining a Golden Knights victory with a low-scoring game and Jack Eichel putting just a few shots on net.

The Wild have maintained a low-scoring approach, with Under 6.5 cashing in every contest so far, and they haven't allowed more than three goals in a game.

Vegas is certainly a step up in offensive class, but Jesper Wallstedt has been brilliant, posting a 1.78 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage. Carter Hart has also been sharp, with a 2.25 GAA. With Minnesota consistently keeping games tight and both goaltenders in strong form, I’ll target the Under.

Eichel recording at least three shots on goal also makes sense as the final leg. He's put 10 shots on target over his last two games. Minnesota is also allowing 10 SOG per game to opposing centers, the second-most in the NHL.

Golden Knights vs Wild player prop: Mark Stone Over 0.5 assists

Play up to 50%.

Mark Stone is an offensive engine for Vegas. He's already tallied four helpers, all of them primary assists. The veteran also owns a 63.64% individual points percentage, meaning he's recorded a point on nearly two-thirds of Vegas' goals scored while he's been on the ice.

Stone notched two assists against L.A. and has cashed the Over in three of his last four appearances. Playing on the top line alongside elite finishers like Eichel and Ivan Barbashev — while also skating on the PP1 — Stone should have plenty of opportunities to set up another goal.

For what it's worth, he's also been an assist machine against Minnesota, registering 23 in 25 career meetings.

Golden Knights vs Wild goal scorer: Kirill Kaprizov

Play up to 47%.

Even against a stout Vegas blue line, I can't ignore one of the NHL's joint-leading goal scorers. Kirill Kaprizov has already potted six goals, including a hat trick against the Panthers on Saturday night.

Kaprizov also leads Minnesota in two key categories for an anytime-goal-scorer prop, generating 20 individual scoring chances and seven high-danger chances. That volume shows how consistently he's getting into dangerous areas rather than relying solely on his finishing.

He's also historically played well against Vegas, lighting the lamp 11 times in 19 career meetings. Given his ability to generate chances, Kaprizov has a clear path to finding the back of the net again.
