The Los Angeles Dodgers are road favorites over the Milwaukee Brewers ahead of their 5 p.m. ET first pitch at American Family Field on Monday, Oct. 12.
My favorite Dodgers vs. Brewers predictions and MLB picks call for Los Angeles righty Yoshinobu Yamamoto to lead the way in a Game 2 victory to even the series.

Dodgers vs Brewers prediction: Dodgers moneyline
For help understanding probabilities, see our odds calculator.
With Los Angeles Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the hill in the playoffs, I’m backing the Dodgers to 60%.
Los Angeles has won in 10 of Yamamoto’s 11 postseason appearances over the past three years, and the go-to righty has posted a high-end 3.21 xERA and 3.39 xFIP along the way.
He’s limited opposing hitters to pedestrian .225 wOBA and .098 ISO during the 63-inning run, too.
Obviously, the Milwaukee Brewers are still playing for a reason, but starter Logan Henderson wasn’t sharp in his playoff debut with three walks to go along with a 4.22 xERA and 5.71 xFIP across five frames.

Dodgers vs Brewers combo
I fully expect the Los Angeles lineup to put runs on the board against Henderson. The Dodgers led the majors in wOBA against righties during the regular season and xwOBA against righties during the playoffs.
The Brewers offense also checks in second and third in those respective metrics, so I expect Milwaukee chipping in to send this total Over the number tonight.
Turning to Dodgers star Freddie Freeman, he’s having another solid postseason, with five hits, three runs, and two RBI across five games, while posting a team-high .522 xwOBA.

- Over 6.5
- Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI
Dodgers vs Brewers home run prediction: Shohei Ohtani
Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is still looking for his first postseason homer, despite a solid 41.7% hard-hit rate and eight long flies in the 2025 playoffs.
He’s also posted a respectable .458 expected slugging percentage against Henderson across six plate appearances, and it’s a matter of when, not if, Ohtani leaves the yard during this series.
I’d recommend an Ohtani home run down to 27%.

Dodgers vs Brewers weather
The roof will be open at American Family Field tonight, and the forecast calls for unseasonably warm, summer-like conditions around 77°F with partly sunny skies at first pitch. A gentle 8 to 14 mph cross breeze will blow, and a weak front brings a slight chance of late-evening precipitation.
