Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 2 predictions

Who will win Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 2

I’m expecting the Dodgers to rough up Gausman.

He’s out-pitched his underlying numbers this postseason, and Los Angeles ranked third in wOBA and fourth in ISO against righties during the regular season.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays best bet

Over 7.5 (-115)

Both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays raked against righties during the regular season with respective ranks of third and fourth in wOBA.

Game 1 also went way Over this number, and these two offenses have been the best in the postseason.

Los Angeles has averaged a healthy 4.5 runs per game, while Toronto has been even better with 6.8 per pop.

Pitching will play a huge role in the Game 2 result, and Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been nearly automatic all season.

Still, he had a minor hiccup in the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies, and his postseason 3.40 xFIP doesn’t jump off the page.

It’s a similar story for Toronto veteran Kevin Gausman.

He’s spun a 3.59 ERA across four playoff appearances, but his .167 BABIP and 92.6% strand rate are unsustainably good, and his 5.19 xFIP suggests tougher times are ahead.

Of course, neither bullpen has been particularly sharp in the playoffs. Los Angeles relievers have the second-highest ERA, and Toronto ranks fourth.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 2 same-game parlay (SGP)

In addition to the highlighted gaps in Gausman’s surface and underlying statistics, the Los Angeles lineup is also plenty familiar with the 34-year-old righty, with seven hitters having faced him double-digit times.

On the flip side, only two Blue Jays have faced Yamamoto for a total of four plate appearances.

Turning to the final leg of this same-game parlay, Toronto superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been the toast of the city this postseason with a dominant .565 wOBA and .447 ISO.

He’s also hit the Over in this market in eight of 12 playoff games.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays SGP (+475)

  • Dodgers -1.5 (+110)
  • Over 7.5 (-115)
  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-145)

Dodgers vs Blue Jays home run pick for Game 2

Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy has teed off on righties to the tune of a .264 ISO across the past three regular seasons.

This includes Muncy boasting three home runs and a .611 ISO across 24 plate appearances against Gausman.

Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 2 odds

  • Moneyline: Los Angeles -125 | Toronto +105
  • Run line: Los Angeles -1.5 (+135) | Toronto +1.5 (-160)
  • Over/Under: Over 7.5 (-115) | Under 7.5 (-105)
