If you want to know how nuts the Denver Broncos’ Week 7 was, just check out the peaks and valleys on the win percentage chart.

The Broncos rallied from 19 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Giants and now face another NFC East opponent when the Dallas Cowboys come to Mile High in Week 8.

Here are my early Cowboys vs. Broncos predictions and NFL picks for October 26.

Cowboys vs Broncos predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Cowboys vs Broncos spread pick: Denver -3

The Denver Broncos’ wild 33-32 win over the Giants may have let down bettors laying the touchdown with the home side, but the outright victory kept Denver’s four-game winning streak alive.

Bookies opened the Broncos as field-goal favorites hosting a Dallas Cowboys team coming off a one-sided win over Washington on Sunday. This Cowboys offense was humming with wideout CeeDee Lamb back, but a soft Commanders secondary and an injury to Jayden Daniels helped Dallas pull away.

This Broncos defense got a wake-up call against New York and despite allowing 32 points, this stop unit remains a Top-10 group in most advanced measurements. Denver is by far the best defense Dallas has faced in a while, with the Cowboys taking advantage of some softer foes.

The Broncos pass rush poses the biggest threat to this Cowboys attack. Dallas has relied on deeper strikes to keep the chains moving, but Denver tops the NFL in pressure rate and sacks. That pass rush won’t give Dak Prescott the time needed for home run plays to develop.

I’ll lean to the home team given the step up in defensive opposition and Dallas’ struggles on the road so far in 2025 (1-3 SU, 2-2 ATS).

Early Cowboys vs Broncos total pick: Under 48.5

If this Broncos pass rush can stop Prescott from pushing the ball deep, we’ll see Dallas lean more on the ground game and short-hitting throws to alleviate that pressure.

This Denver secondary is among the best in the land, limiting foes to just 17 passing plays of 20+ yards and the lowest success rate per dropback in the NFL.

The Broncos offense isn’t the most explosive attack. Bo Nix boasts the seventh-fewest intended air yards per attempt and the Broncos sit in the bottom third in terms of yards per play.

The Cowboys have been very susceptible to the deep passing game, so Denver may not exploit that weakness like other opponents. Dallas has gone Over the total in five of its seven games but this number seems a little high considering the great defense/so-so offense of the Broncos.
