The St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks meet tonight at Busch Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET on ESPN.

My Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks predictions expect St. Louis to add to Zac Gallen's recent struggles. Read more in my MLB picks for tonight's action.

Who will win Diamondbacks vs Cardinals today: Cardinals moneyline (-126)

The Arizona Diamondbacks send Zac Gallen to the hill tonight, and the veteran continues to struggle. He owns a 6.10 ERA this season and a 6.00 FIP over his last two starts while allowing 1.80 home runs per nine innings.

Gallen has also surrendered a 40.2% hard-hit rate across his last 25 1/3 innings, making him vulnerable against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Michael McGreevy has been much steadier. He's allowed more than two earned runs just once in his last four starts and owns a strong 2.25 ERA at Busch Stadium this season.

I'll back McGreevy to outduel Gallen, and would play this pick up to -140.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Zac Gallen owns a 6.23 FIP on the road this season compared to a 4.97 mark overall, suggesting how much he's struggled away from home.

Diamondbacks vs Cardinals Over/Under pick: Over 8.5 (-131)

Outside of two starters who have been prone to allowing runs lately, we're also looking at a pair of bullpens in poor form. Arizona's relief corps owns a 5.63 FIP over the last week, while St. Louis has been even worse with a 6.38 FIP across the last 14 days.

Offensively, the Cardinals are batting .273 over their last 13 games while carrying a strong 119 wRC+. Arizona hasn't been as productive lately, but against a struggling Cardinals bullpen, the Diamondbacks should still find opportunities to contribute.

Play this to -140.

Diamondbacks vs Cardinals weather

Conditions at Busch Stadium should be mildly favorable for hitters tonight. Temperatures around 85°F and warm summer air could help the ball carry a bit farther, although light winds mean weather is unlikely to play a major role. It's a slight boost for offense rather than a significant one.
