Josh Inglis' expert pick: Cubs vs Mets - Over 8.5
Price: 51¢ (-104) at Polymarket
This series has already produced 43 runs through three games, and today's conditions might be the best yet for offense.
It's the top-hitting weather on the slate with 14-mph winds blowing out to center field, and temperatures in the mid-70s.
Neither bullpen comes into this game well-rested. The Chicago Cubs are without their closer and could also be missing two other relievers after using five arms yesterday. On the home side, things might be even worse, as the New York Mets could be down four of their top high-leverage relievers.
That bullpen situation becomes even more important with Matthew Boyd making his first start off the IL. He threw just 58 pitches in his final rehab outing and was pitching to a 6.00 ERA before the injury.
Freddy Peralta isn't exactly in peak form either. He allowed 10 runs in his last start and has surrendered 29 runs over his last 36 innings.
This is not a game showcasing elite pitching talent, and the weather and bullpen situations only add to the scoring upside.

Joe Osborne's expert pick: Cardinals moneyline
Price: 57¢ (-132) at Polymarket
Home/road splits point strongly toward the St. Louis Cardinals tonight.
Michael McGreevy has been excellent at Busch Stadium, posting a 2.35 ERA across seven home starts, and now gets an Arizona Diamondbacks lineup that's been among the worst in the league both away from home and against right-handed pitching over the last month.
Meanwhile, Zac Gallen's nightmare season continues, especially on the road, where he owns a 6.98 ERA in eight starts. He's gotten worse as the season has gone on, with Arizona just 3-8 in his last 11 starts.
With the Cardinals ranking fourth in OPS vs. righties over the last two weeks, this sets up as a great spot for St. Louis to take care of business.
