The Arizona Diamondbacks (+170) own the league's highest win percentage against left-handed starters, and should keep things close against the Atlanta Braves.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (+170) are one of the MLB's best offensive teams against left-handed pitching.

While they're unlikely to run it up against Chris Sale, my Diamondbacks vs. Braves predictions and MLB picks see value in backing the road team to keep the score tight.

Who will win Diamondbacks vs Braves today: Arizona Diamondbacks +1.5 (-120)

Brandon Pfaadt continues to prevent runs at an elite level. He has allowed two or fewer in 16 consecutive appearances, and his numbers are only improving as the season progresses.

He conceded 10 runs over his last 10 games, during which time he allowed 0.36 HR/9 and sported a 2.60 xERA.

The Arizona Diamondbacks own the league’s best winning percentage against left-handed pitching, and rank Top-3 in almost every major offensive category.

It won’t be easy to score on Chris Sale, but an elite offense vs. lefties coupled with an in-form pitcher should keep things close.

Bet to -130.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Diamondbacks have hit .304 with a league-best .387 OBP against lefties the past month.

Diamondbacks vs Braves Over/Under pick: Under 8.0 (-115)

It’s hard not to get excited about the Under in this spot, even with two strong offenses facing off.

Pfaadt’s ability to limit barrels makes it very difficult to hit for power, and his 80th percentile ranking in ground ball rate helps him limit damage when he does give up contact.

Sale has struck out more than 37% of opposing batters the past month and, perhaps even more incredibly, he’s only been taken yard in one of his last 13 starts.

This has Under written all over it, and I’d play it to -130.

Diamondbacks vs Braves home run prediction: Mike Yastrzemski (+475)

Mike Yastrzemski leads the Atlanta Braves in batting average, wOBA, ISO, and SLG over the past 15 games.

He has posted a strong 17.4% barrel rate during that span, and hit 13 balls at least 300 feet.

He also possesses a strong track record against Pfaadt, hitting safely in five of nine at bats while generating eight hard hit balls.

Given his recent form, and history, I see value in backing Yas to leave the park at this price. Bet to +450.
