The Brew Crew are red-hot to start the season and now get a matchup against an inexperienced Royals starter. Andrew Caley's predictions like the road team to stay hot, particularly at this price.

The Milwaukee Brewers are off to a red-hot start to begin the 2026 MLB season. The Brew Crew is hitting and pitching, and is 5-1 heading into tonight’s series opener against the Kansas City Royals.

The Kansas City bats have been relatively quiet to start the season, so keeping up with Milwaukee could be a problem.

My Brewers vs. Royals predictions have MLB picks on the side and total for this interleague matchup set to get underway at 7:45 pm ET at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, on Friday, April 3.

Who will win Brewers vs Royals today: Brewers (-110)

The Milwaukee Brewers have been playing some great baseball to start the season. They’ve been getting production up and down the lineup and matchup against an inexperienced starter.

Luinder Avila got called up from Triple-A to replace Michael Wacha (illness). He’s a hard-throwing right-hander who’s the Kansas City Royals' No. 9-ranked prospect, but he’s in a tough spot.

The Brew Crew enters this game ranked third in both wRC+ and OPS and has plated six or more runs in five of its six games this season.

With the Royals' offence off to a slow start, I love the price with Milwaukee.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Brice Turang is hitting .409 with a 1.227 OPS with five extra-base hits and five RBIs so far this season.

Brewers vs Royals Over/Under pick: Under 9 (-110)

Chad Patrick gets the ball for the Brewers. The right-hander got his season off to a solid start, allowing one run on five hits while striking out four in 4 1/3 innings.

But the strength of this Milwaukee pitching staff is in the bullpen. They enter this game ranked second in the MLB in xFIP.

And as noted, it’s been a slow start for the Royals’ bats. Kansas City ranks 16th in OPS and 17th in wRC+.

They brought in the fences at Kauffman Stadium, but this should still be enough to keep this game below the number.

A Journalism School grad from Holland College in Charlottetown, PEI, Andrew previously worked at The Chronicle Herald and Star Metro, but knew in his heart that his future lay in sports. He began at Covers as a news editor and has now done everything under the sun when it comes to content. His work has been seen on TSN, Sportsnet, VSiN, and CBS. These days Andrew's betting expertise is focused on his favorite teams; the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Raptors. He's also an avid college football fan and bettor. He can't be friends with you if you don't appreciate a Service Academy Under. The sportsbook where he does the bulk of his betting is bet365 thanks to its numerous prop betting options and competitive odds. His best advice? Find the balance between the numbers and what you see on the playing field. Then find the best price using multiple books. And don’t ask him where the nickname Taco comes from. It's not an interesting story. Seriously.
