We’ve seen plenty of power on display early in the World Series as the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers have combined for six home runs through just two games.

Let’s zero in on a couple of the bigger threats to go yard with my favorite Blue Jays vs. Dodgers home run picks for Game 3 in L.A.

Blue Jays home run pick

George Springer (+375 at BetMGM)

George Springer has homered three times over his last nine games. Despite playing through injury, he appears as likely as any Toronto Blue Jays batter to go yard once again.

Springer hit for a ton of power vs. right-handed pitching this season (24 homers, .261 ISO) and has a surprisingly great track record against Tyler Glasnow.

He's hit safely in six of 13 at bats, with one of those hits going for a homer. Springer is especially good when facing the fastball (.339 ISO), and that is Glasnow’s go-to pitch against righties.

Glasnow also mixes in plenty of sliders, which Springer handled nicely during the regular season. He hit .293 with a .227 ISO against that pitch.

Matchup aside, Springer possesses a ton of big-game experience and won’t be rattled from playing on the road in such a high-stakes affair.

Dodgers home run pick

Shohei Ohtani (+150 at BetMGM)

Sometimes the obvious choice is the right choice, and that sure feels like the case here. The beast that is Shohei Ohtani has awoken, homering four times over his past three games.

He posted a ridiculous .378 ISO against right-handed pitching during the regular season and has enjoyed success against Max Scherzer over a limited sample, going 2-for-6 thus far.

Scherzer gave up a lot of power to left-handed bats this year. He allowed 2.5 homers per nine innings, a near .300 ISO, and struck out batters at a much lower rate.

Ohtani has struck out a lot lately while chasing power — he has 16 strikeouts over his last 10 — so Scherzer’s dip in K-rate facing lefties should help him.

Ohtani has six homers against Jays relievers in his career and went yard after their bullpen took over in Game 1. He'll remain a big threat whether Scherzer is in the game or not.
