It’s trade deadline day, and I’m targeting two hot Toronto bats, starting with Kazuma Okamoto, whose total bases price has gotten too cheap.

Blue Jays vs Astros best bet: Kazuma Okamoto Over 1.5 total bases (+125)
I like Kazuma Okamoto here even more than my usual Toronto Blue Jays prop regulars like George Springer and Ernie Clement.
Okamoto has struggled since the All-Star break with a .522 OPS, so the books have let his total bases price balloon. That’s the opportunity, because the third baseman is heating back up over his last two series, posting three extra-base hits and an .826 OPS across six games.
The Houston Astros counter with Cristian Javier, a bit of a mystery but a solvable one. His ERA is inflated, though he’s pitched to a 2.85 FIP since returning from the injured list, and his stuff isn’t all the way back, especially a four-seamer that has yielded a .478 xSLG.
Okamoto loves hunting fastballs (.299 average, .598 slugging), so he’s well-equipped to line a double or reach the Crawford Boxes in left. I like this prop until +110.

For the SGP, I’m starting with Okamoto and doubling down on a hot Springer while grabbing plus money on Toronto.
George Springer Over 1.5 total bases rides the same red-hot form behind my home run pick, and I’ll combine it with Blue Jays moneyline at +110, a live number with Shane Bieber holding the slight edge over a shaky Cristian Javier.

Blue Jays vs Astros home run pick: George Springer (+350)
If Springer is still in a Blue Jays uniform by first pitch, I expect him to do damage. The Astros are reportedly interested in him, but even if he isn’t dealt there, he’ll have plenty of motivation against his former team on deadline day.
Every number paints Springer as Toronto’s hottest hitter. He has a hit in eight straight games and owns a .976 OPS with three homers and seven extra-base hits in 15 games since the All-Star break.
He's also long mashed at the Astros’ home park, posting an .813 OPS with 80 home runs in 405 games there, roughly a 32-homer pace over a full season. I like his home run prop until +300.
