Alejandro Kirk and his four hits fueled another comeback win for the Toronto Blue Jays, who have now won 11 of their last 14 games. They’ll go for a fifth straight series win when they face off against St. Louis Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas on Tuesday, June 10.
My Blue Jays predictions and MLB picks break down why bettors should expect a short night for the Cards' right-hander.

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Tragic Mikolas
Miles Mikolas Under 17.5 outs recorded (-110 at BetVictor)
We are going back to the well with another St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher to go Under his outs recorded prop in this series.
In Game 1, we came up just short as Andre Pallante went Over 17.5 outs, completing exactly six innings. However, the Toronto Blue Jays had opportunities to knock Pallante out of the game earlier and just failed to capitalize on some scoring situations earlier in the game.
But we did see the balance that has made this Blue Jays lineup so effective lately, with Jonatan Clase collecting two hits, including the game-tying home run, while Alejandro Kirk gathered another four knocks.
During this 11-3 run, the Blue Jays rank second in the big leagues in batting average, OPS, and wRC+. So, I’m betting those bats will still play against Miles Mikolas.
The veteran right-hander’s stuff has been lacking this season, and even though he’s got a 3.96 ERA, Mikolas has been a little lucky at this point.
Mikolas enters this interleague matchup with a 4.35 expected ERA while giving up a .265 expected batting average to opponents. Both rank in the Bottom 30% among MLB pitchers.
He’s also never been much of a swing-and-miss guy, but this season it’s really bad. His 13.8% strikeout rate is in the second percentile while his chase rate is in the 14th percentile. His whiff rate is in the Bottom 1% of baseball.
The Blue Jays are a great contact team, which is the kind of matchup that isn’t good for Mikolas. On top of that, he hasn’t had a very long leash this season. Mikolas is averaging just 79.4 pitches per start this season.
Mikolas’ outs recorded prop is also at 17.5, and while he’s hit exactly six innings in three of his last four starts, two of those came against the ultra-light-hitting Kansas City Royals. He’s stayed Under this number in eight of his 12 starts this season.
