The Wyndham Championship is the final stop on the PGA Tour calendar before the FedEx Cup Playoffs kick off next week, and it's a light field with stars taking the week off and everyone else looking to secure playoff positioning.
That means there will be some unexpected names in contention this weekend, with my Wyndham Championship predictions expecting big weeks from the likes of Sungjae Im, J.T. Poston, and more.

🎯 Wyndham Championship sleeper predictions
Sleeper pick to win: Tom Kim (2.6%)
It hasn't been the most inspiring stretch for Tom Kim since winning the Scottish Open a few weeks ago.
He missed the cut at The Open the following week and went T20 at the 3M Open before taking last week off. Still, the 2022 Wyndham champ has gained true strokes on approach in 10 straight starts and ranks fourth in Par-4 scoring on the season (12 Par 4s this week!).
In a field this thin, Kim is a proven winner with a game that can be trusted to generate the scoring chances needed to contend.

Sleeper pick to win: Sungjae Im (2.2%)
It's undoubtedly been a down season for Sungjae Im overall, but with two Top-15 results in his last three starts paired with a ton of success here at Sedgefield, I'm looking his way this week.
He's finished worse than T27 just once in seven career tries here in a run that includes a runner-up in 2022 where he held the 54-hole lead and three other Top-15 finishes.
While he's secure inside the Top 70, Sungjae has work to do if he wants to get into the Top 50 (currently 57th) and make a longer playoff run, and it helps that he's coming off a week at the Rocket Classic where he gained true strokes in all four categories.
Sleeper pick to win: J.T. Poston (1.3%)
J.T. Poston has gone 69-T51-MC since winning the Memorial and finishing T4 at the U.S. Open, but he's been off since The Open and will be eager to hit the reset button before the playoffs (sitting 29th).
Like Tom Kim, Poston has had success at Sedgefield: a win in 2019, a T11 a year ago, and a T7 in 2023. And while his approach game has been holding him back lately, that part of his bag has been well above average at Sedgefield over the last four years.
Poston's putter runs hot, so he can go low with the best of them if the rest of his game holds up. In 2019, he won with a 65-65-66-62 scorecard.
