Also interesting; the Dodgers since they completed the trade for Tarik Skubal and made themselves enormous favorites at betting houses to win a 3rd consecutive world championship, have now lost 5 consecutive games of which only 1 of 5 was a close game. 

5-0 now in August after Royals at home squeak by pesky Twins 2-1. Dodgers have now lost 6 consecutive games since trading for Skubal. The age old saying "You can't live on your reputation" certainly applies to the Dodgers.

6-0 in August tonight I hope with Royals again to defeat visiting Minnesota. Some of the real sharps are also backing Kansas City at home. So far only 1 person going with Twins. 

Dodgers now 0-7 since trading for Tarik Skubal as 32 year old Edwin Diaz hangs a slider in bottom of the 9th which young Waldschmidt deposits over the left field wall for Arizona. You have to wonder about their incentive to win with all their star players and substantial lead in the NL West division. Reliever Diaz ($23 million per season) has now appeared in 11 games this season with an 11.0 ERA. 

So Mets win, mostly thanks to some great throws from their young outfielders cutting down Padre baserunners left, right and center. Anyway, I'll take the win. Tonight I'm going with road warrior Yankees and lefty Rodon vs road weary Orioles who just arrived home with righty Baz on the hill. 

Royals at home jumped from -130 to -158 in a hurry, although I'm not sure why. Same starting pitchers are Gage Jump for Athletics vs Seth Lugo for Kansas City. Anyway I was lucky enough to grab Royals for my pick.

Royals did romp over Athletics thanks to Athletics weak bullpen. Let's keep on rolling today with Brewers at home to defeat a vastly over-rated Mariners squad. 

Milwaukee easily defeats Seattle. Brewers are the one team that Dodgers respect and even fear in a playoff matchup. Today is tough, but I hope to keep the ball rollin' with underdog Cubs and lefty Matthew Boyd to beat road-weary Mariners just arriving home after a 9 game stretch of away games. Righty Emerson Hancock mans the hill for Seattle.

They decided to stop adding WNBA it looks like. Wonder why that is.

That's a good question. Maybe because it was ever so slightly too predictable.

A lot of sharps including #1 monthly are taking St. Louis at home to beat Orioles. After a long, long road trip the Cardinals are finally at home which scares me to death wondering if they have 100% focus on the game at hand, but obviously these top guys know what they are doing, otherwise they wouldn't be on top.

Hmm, Orioles 13 Cardinals 1. I could say "I told you so", but I won't.

Lately I've been fattening up my wallet by betting money on the opposite side to what I take at Covers. Today I'll try that again with my Phillies to win pick with righty Andrew Painter toeing the slab vs diabolical lefty Reid Detmers of the Angels. Phillies might win, but it won't be easy.

Everyone's pick has been updated but mine. Yankees lost game 1 of the doubleheader. I'm in a possible 8 way tie for first for monthly. When will my pick be updated? They never respond to e-mails. I better be able to pick tomorrow or I will sue.

 Don't let anyone bully you into not posting. Your post are informative and it's your opinion. That's what this thread is about people posting their opinions. If somebody doesn't agree with it so be it. 

Thank you Covers for taking care of LegendJr. There's no place for that kind of treatment in this thread. Hopefully we can all understand that we can disagree without the personal insults. 

Good call smooth the guy is just a fan great forum for a long time haters gonna hate I guess it was a good monthly race last month anybody know who one? That’s the one thing I would change reveal the results of the monthly you got some pull make it happen captain
