INDIANAPOLIS -- The last time the Saints played the Colts it wasn't pretty for the boys in black and gold.

On Sept. 28, 2003, Peyton Manning returned home and strafed the New Orleans defense for a club-record six touchdown passes in a 55-21 victory at the Superdome. In three quarters of work, Manning completed 20 of 25 passes (66.7 percent) for 314 yards and touchdowns of 17, 14, 79, 12, 32 and 11 yards.

"I remember it pretty well," Dungy said Sunday. "That's as sharp as Peyton has been. I knew our offense was good, but that was the night where you said, 'Wow, when they're clicking and everything's going, they can be tough to defend.' "

At times trends can be deceiving though such as in the case of the O/U which I looked at in this game.

under is 4-0 in Saints last 4 games in week 1.....

Saints at Browns 2006 O/U line 36 actual total under at 33 ( game played out doors )

Saints at Panthers 2005 O/U line 44.5 actual total under at 43 ( game also played outdoors ) no Bush or Brees to add to this game.

Seahawks at Saints 2004 = under not much to say on this one besides Bush was still in college and Brees was in SD.

I won't continue cause it would be the same as previous.

Colts 5-1 under in last 6 games in September..

Colts at Giants ( out doors ) missed the over by half a point. depends on where you wager.

Colts at Houston ( dome ) game went over the total

Jax and Colts played both games under. Jax and Colts normally play low scoring games and the Jax defense always tough to score against. ( game out doors )

Colts at Ravens ( out doors ) Ravens defense don't let any team score much on them. under

Browns at Colts- Don't know what happend here??? but game went way under.

This season...

Saints at Indy indoors with a lot of scoring weapons....still to be determined.

 another good point. That's another factor I look at when the O/U totals get inflated in these types of situations.
