You guys amaze me as much as some of my plays may make you laugh.
All this Vegas this Vegas that.
You know what....... Vegas takes a line on a number for a game.
They let all of us argue about what it means and let us all move it if the money goes one way or the other.
If they feel they are are on the right side of the number they won't move it, and let potential profits pile up.
If they are wrong, they have a bankroll that can sustain them for much longer than the average douche on here, and will eventually get it back.
There is no grand scheme, too many people over think this stuff (me included)
If Indy was -13 yesterday why didn't they offer it?
They could have cut their losses on that one for sure, but missed that easy score on joe public

Wow, why so bitter? I never said I was the best or a "genius". I could give a crap if people followed me or not. I just post my plays for the hell of it, not for the attention. You never see me gloating or posting in large bold fonts after every win. First of all they dnt want all  the money.. if they made it obvious know one would bet.  Know won is saying the games are fixed but these guy do this for a living anyone who says vegas wants a 50/50 split is a fool they have professionals figure out where the score should end up or who should win then place the line so the public will bet the way they want.  and like pigs to slaughter the public follows.  Nothing is 100% but you bet with the house and you will win more than you loose every time!  we watch for no movement or reverse movement.  like the example i gave earlier and pick i put out on this board earlier everyone had the yankees last night 85+% the money opened at -150 and went down to -130 why do you think they made it easier for people to bet the yanks?  it should have gone to -180+ with all the action but didnt.  same with the gb game it stayed at 3 if they wanted you to bet on the bears they would have raised it to 3.5 they didnt.. they loved the GB money..  last but not least easiest game of the night TB rays open at -210 and droped to -170 with 93% of the bets on TB and baltimore wins 4-0.. if people were taking them earliy at -220 why make it easier to bet on them and drop to -170 hmm..  use common sense and open your mind to the matrix lol!!

Thank you, BankJob.  This is espicially true for games that everyone is watching because it's the only one on - Sunday night, Monday night, weekday college games.  It's not that there's a fix - the guys setting the lines just know more about the games than we do.  Any angle you can think of, they've already considered.  So when you see a Monday night line too good to be true (Saints -5 or GB -3), it is.  They books do not believe in Christmas.  They are trying to get you on a side that they're pretty confident won't cover.

But every week, you see the same guys on these boards saying the obvious pick is a lock, or a gift from Vegas.  They just never learn.

No, this doesn't work 100% of the time (damn you Pitt Panthers), but you can hit 4 out 5 by just watching the public and the line movement.
