Trumps covert CIA action in Venezuela

President Donald Trump continued his threats towards Greenland on Friday, as he insisted that if the United States did not act Russia or China could occupy it in the future.

Trump said that if he is unable to make a deal to acquire the territory “the easy way,” then he will have to “do it the hard way.”

“We are going to do something in Greenland, whether they like it or not, because if we don’t do it, Russia or China will take over Greenland, and we’re not going to have Russia or China as a neighbor,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

This is clearly causing fear in the Nato alliance.

And hence terrorism to a allied country, Denmark 

He has no idea how expensive warfare is in the arctic - all your equipment will break down (and there is no logistics - so you have to fly everything in with helicopters that can’t always reach their target because of snow storms etc) - the Nordic countries equipment is made for arctic warfare - do you know why we have brought iceslades ? Because the dogs can feel Mulan’s etc - your snow scooters can’t - so unless you dream about literally getting “eaten” by Mother Earth herself - I would sit that one out if I were you - and he was insane enough to go through with it

You can't take Greenland by military force you can't say this in public this is not acceptable.

He has made it clear that he intends to make sure China and Russia cannot have Greenland or the strategic influence in that region, as it is encroachment.  This is the same situation that Latin America has allowed to happen.  That was a huge part of the Venezuelan mess.  The Panama Canal. Chile, etc.

He obviously sees what others have been talking about for a couple of decades now.  The difference is that Trump will say it out loud.  He is certainly loud about it as that in itself is a deterrent to them.

Quite obviously, he cannot just send troops in to take over another area.  He would have to get a lot of folks on his side, from Congress to European support.

That is why he is positing the payout and other encouragement things.

Folks that do not realize the regimes they are dealing with and only deal with them because of personal benefit at the time are simply short-sighted on geopolitics from very self-centered regimes.

This is nothing new at all from the USA.  They have been trying various ways, throughout the world, for decades now to 'influence' states to opt for less Communistic influence.

Some would argue that it is their duty in a way.  It is akin to the old canard of a 'good guy not doing or saying anything'.

There is something to be said for isolationism.  But eventually it will not be you dealing with the issue, but the next generation or the next.

There is a lot to be said for getting out in from of things.

Can, Trump say things more delicately, or tactfully -- absolutely.  But he is very, very correct that something needs to be done at some point.

The sooner, the better.

Venezuela mess is what it is we had a 15 million bounty on Maduro and delta force completed that mission.

'Is what it is?  I am not sure what that means.  

The issue is that it got out of hand and Trump stepped in when others turned away.

Think Biden actually raised that bounty to $25M

That is a way some folks will see it.  I am not even totally disagreeing.

But look at some of the other strategic, or otherwise, territories like Guam, American Samoa, or even Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Northern Mariana Islands.

I am sure Trump is seeing it more along those lines.

It would not be the same as Crimea, Hong Kong, etc.

But look at how empty NATO is, or even the UN at this point.  What have they done.  What has Denmark done.  What could they even do if Russia or China decided to do what they are accusing Trump or wanting to do.

You cannot simply assume these Communists folks want what is best for you' -- they do not, they want what is good for them only.

I have understand USA unchecked policy on China resource acquisition and nation development this is the power that now fills our nation first policy. Putin has gone and decided to unveil the hypersonic middle capable of nuclear weapons and able to hit Washington in 30 minutes. As a demonstration in Ukraine theater. 

What Putin has lost is his market Europe and hence becoming more in debt to China. China is now the greatest economic engine on the planet it's manufacturing capabilities are unrivaled what they need is tons of resources to support that production.

Trump has no answer for this. He says made in America but there is no economic manufacturing policy in play. He needs to drive down energy costs and labor costs to become independent of China and all it is is talk to pander to labor like he is there friend.

I understand the need for defense and the need for company to provide intelligence but the military was designed for overseas work. And civilian sector domestic concerns.

Trump is pushing an agenda that the majority doesn't support he is facing a entire Congress shift in position.

Openly states Susan Collins should be removed from office so he can have a governor who will tell him off at his own breakfast.... 

These erode his base and continue to erode confidence in USA to provide any support or guidance.

China is now the greatest economic engine

This is not the factor it once was thought to be.  China has a lot of internal economic issues.  You can see how they struggled more than other economies to recover coming out of the pandemic.  The confidence level, especially from the EU countries, has dropped a lot.  When their economy was growing at double-digits, everyone loved them.  Now that it has slowed to 5% or so that confidence has waned a good bit.

Absolutely he does.  He at least has made the effort several in the past refused to attempt because they thought the outcome was inevitable.

I mean look at the booming situation the USA is in now.  The trade deficit has dropped drastically.  The influx of foreign investments into the country for manufacturing has shot up. Etc., etc.

You simply will not hear about this with the media.
