It did not take too much research to find that the oil companies settled for whatever their claims were regarding having their assets taken over. I dont get that personally it is a risk investing in countries that are not a democracy and are not based on capitalism and we have seen this play out in the past. Aside from the realities and risks that oil took on I dont see how this benefits US oil corps at all and the markets are sort of telling you this hurts the oil companies.

If Venezuela has been suppressing production since they are a strong member of OPEC I do not see how this helps non-OPEC companies, the cartel sets pricing and the US will not be taking over those assets even though mind numbing Trump might think he is, that will not happen. The same way that Bush Lite did not take over Iraqi oil even though back then there was plenty of stupid going around suggesting that would be the case.

This oil stuff is just smoke screen for Trump to try and confuse the uneducated like he did with Mexico paying for the wall etc etc..

Speaking of rewriting history why don't you do this; Read Trump's full speech on Jan 6th, 2021. What did he want? To overthrow the government? Is that in his speech? Nope. He wanted the states to reaudit their vote counts, that's all. And so did millions of people represented by thousands on Jan 6th in DC. You can never change the words in that speech. You can twist them like the BBC did, splicing it up to make it look like a call for violence, but you cannot change what he really said.

The oil companies were awarded less than they claimed and Maduro appeals were rejected. They have yet to receive anything.

Trump speech on January 6 is not everything.  For months earlier, he lay groundwork for future riot by constantly promoting big lie about stolen election.  Historically, the official record is likely to be January 6 committee investigation which found Trump engaged in multi-parts conspiracy to overturn lawful results of 2020 election.

 That is part of the process the same way class actions here can take decades to unwind and some never get paid, that does not mean they did not settle and were not awarded based on their claims.

Its like down here people regularly purchase property and businesses in Puerto Penasco in Mexico and further south, Americans invest down there and to me that is a massive risk for the same reason. Mexico is not a democracy similar to how Venezuela isnt. Corps know they are rolling the dice with foreign investments and they win some they lose some that is the risk analysis made every single day. 

I can promise you US corps are not interested to the degree some might think regarding investments there given that the cartel controls production it is not a democracy and the investment to improve the assets there means it increases the risk even more.

Stupid dopeys will just take Trump at his word and do no research as to his lies and deception because they dont care to learn or uncover outright lies that he spins and will continue to spin to forward his deception and agenda.

Stupid dopeys would believe Venezuela would ever pay awards handed out by International Courts. There were and are NO SETTLEMENTS.

What the January 6th committee did was deceitful to the American public. They created a Hollywood show, left out anything that would damage their narrative, patted a man on the back who was the only one recorded saying; "We must go into the Capitol" 

And ya wonder why Trump got reelected.

When corps pick arb and that decision is made, sorry to tell you that is called a settlement. Collection of a settlement is not part of the process of a settlement taking place.

Myth is Trump has nothing to do with January 6 attack on capitol.  Trump incited his supporters into a violent frenzy by lying to them for months about election results.  Directing them to march to capitol.  Encouraging them to press Pence to abandon his constitutional duties.  Refusing for hours to tell them to stop their attack.

No no you guys don’t have to sugar coat it for me - I am smart enough to know the world order as we know it - probably ends here with Trump - but we surely don’t agree who is better off with the change of that - and really how can I take you guys seriously if you think that will be you ? We have funded you guys shit for decades - you can’t even go through a fiscical year without borrowing money - and you guys made us depended on you with a purpose - I wonder why you think you went from shithole to the biggest super power within less than 100 years - maybe the two world wars could give you a clue 

Well don’t worry - because with all the preventable diseases you as country soon will be hit by - we will probably rather see you die over there in masses than even accepting one of you here again - even though 40% of your youth population want to relocate permanently most of them to Europe - so I think I can say for my entire continent - thank you very much for your contribution to society that you stay with the sinking ship  because declining population numbers will be the least of our worries but one of your biggest ones 

Interesting difference is that Noriega was removed and silenced.  

Maduro was removed and will be on public trial.  Maduro runs his mouth about as bad / worse as Donald.  Should be a spectacle.
