Yes.  But what takes it into the emotional and irrational part is that they will insist illegals are not hurting the economy and that they are not taking more than they are giving, etc.

But when presented with black and white numbers that show this to be the case, they stick to it.  Because they will not allow facts to deter them from what they really want to believe to be true.

I think a lot of folks have been this way long before Trump got into politics.  Sure, their hatred of him has added to it.

But look at any of the '80/20' things or some of the facts that prove any of the narrative-driven pet-projects do not work.  

These have nothing to do with who is in office at the time.

This is where kids are being indoctrinated in school and adults through the various media sources.  These folks have not been taught to critically examine issues on both sides for themselves.

They are taught to just believe someone because they say it from an authority-sounding platform.

On that topic what is going on with the border anyway? I think Mr 5 minute attention span left that topic long ago and moved to other brown skinned pastures like Minny or Ohio or Home Depot parking lot any possible way to irradicate America from the scourge of the brown skin. I am more concerned with crime and abuse but that includes white doods so that does not fit your narrative.

Does this correlation/causation work with you? We know the answer and the border being open equating to the woes of your existence is the same. 

The existence of guns does kill people and that truth has literal figure based statistics that cannot be denied, so do you like correlation causation or just when it fits your partisan narrative?

If you were to seal up the border and call it the GREATEST WALL TRUMP EVER BUILT then guess what, human nature still exists and crime drugs etc still happen. Its the Dr.Seuss proof that you cannot change human nature even if you remove the stars and try to segregate it means nothing.

  That's a sideways look at one part of the problem. We've already seen that when criminals are allowed to roam free, they will commit crimes, some violent or deadly. Eliminating guns would just reduce the choice of weapons. You seem to be under the delusion that EVERYONE that crosses into this country is here to help. Did you ever consider many are here to just take advantage of our system? Like Tony Montana said, "this place is just a big box waiting to get fucked". You need to realize that the lib soft-on-crime stance is like an invitation to people all over the world to come here & do as they will. What consequences? You're against capital punishment because, you stated, "even one mistake is too many". But millions of unknowns pouring into this country is, meh, OK.....they're not all bad......they're just here to build a better life..........but at who's expense? Your retort about weapons kill and there is some other weapon is actually my exact point. The border being closed is not going to eliminate crime, removing all the brown bad guys wont change crime just in the same way that you claim guns are a weapon and there are other weapons if you remove them and the horse manure about protection from government. 

Can you update us on the big beautiful border wall status? How much is built and staffed and how much is left, this was the most important partisan pillar Trump used to sucker you guys into voting for him so given it was the MOST important thing there has to be progress now that we are 15 months into the fascist regime.

Yep.  Too many things they keep tied together.  
So many of these things should be stand alone issues.  

This is done all the time by both parties....they tie so many things in bills to get them passed....it's done intentionally, so this is nothing new....

Yes.  They do it to have a little bit of give and take.  "We want this and you want this, so we can both be happy", sort of thing.

But the main problem is that there are "so many things in bills".  There should not be.  They do too much now as it is.

Additionally, some things are too important to have other things alongside them.  

Whatever party wants something important passed should have it as a standalone issue.  Otherwise, you 'force' people to vote against something they want because they do not want to be seen as 'voting' for something they are against, etc.

At least with the Obama library there will be actual legit content not just a brand smorgasbord and self absorbed shrine that will be Trump's disaster.

Will that " actual legit content " include reference to Michelle's despicable comment, "For the 1st time in my life, I'm proud to be an American. "   BHO and the wife are despicable people,  and gave birth to the comment that they wish to fundamentally transform America.  A comment like this shows just how unhappy,  jaded these two are.  BHO and wife aren't to be celebrated,  but ridiculed for their time in office..

What do you call someone who cusses out the world on Easter? Even your boy Tucker was miffed enough to actually say something. I think Michelle was the best first lady in my lifetime and her vocalizing the issue of racism to me is not un-American or unpatriotic it is a call to action and truth. It is time for this country to quit patronizing white men and move out of the 1800s like many civilized countries have already done.

 When she attempted to ‘clarify’ it later she never said it was because of racism.  She said it was more about the ‘hope and optimism’, the increased and energetic interest, and the ‘feeling’ the country was moving in a more positive direction.  
She, and her advisors, knew folks would make that connection without her having to come out and say it after they goofed up the speech with that line.

 I am not sure what ‘she said’ that you are agreeing with?  She only said was: “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country…”

Are you agreeing that was the first time you were proud of your country.  
Because it is tricky to agree with something like that when you live in the very best country by far — and it is not close at all.

If that was the case it would pull be interesting to see what she would say after the eight years where her husband left the country in a much more racially divided and stressed situation.

When a speech is pre written and rehearsed, then delivered seriously it cannot be parsed out to nuance and implied meaning.

There is little wriggle room to dodge an unpatriotic tag at that point.  Because on its face it was clear and unambiguous.

The bigger issue I see is that folks were happy to elect the first black guy, so if she just said that without couching it as the ‘first time being proud’ of the country — I do not think folks would have thought any more about it.

Because it was no doubt a very historic election.

But to pre start the whole situation out by tangentially racially dividing the country out her husband behind on uniting folks on racial issues from the very start.  Then he fumbled that part as time went on.

Two smart and like able folks should not have fallen for that okey-doke by their handlers.

I never understand why either party overly caters to their solid base by doing this sort of thing.

By that time you have the vote from your base and are never getting the polar opposite voters.  So, why not deal with the issues that can attract middle of the road voters.

Both parties do this.  Abortion is another example, do you have to come out so pro- or anti-abortion.  Those voters already are voting the way they are; you are never changing their minds just because you make that a ‘loud’ campaign topic.

Same thing with this speech.  The people that loved that ‘gaffe’ (or…?) or those that hated it were never switching their votes.

But had she been more circumspect and ‘patriotic’ who knows how much more ‘energetic and positive’ the nation could have been going forward.

To further demonstrate it just think of any other non-candidate that had a line in a speech that folks are still even remembering or talking about — let alone arguing about.
