This time it’s happening in Florida, with Florida Man Surgeon General stupidly encouraging parents to continue sending unvaccinated kids who were exposed to measles to school. In 2022, half of the 85 toddlers infected in Ohio outbreak were hospitalized. Two doses of the MMR vaccine are 97% effective at preventing measles. One dose is 93% effective at preventing measles. Zero doses mean that a person who is exposed to the virus has a 90% chance of contracting it. Long term side effects for measles include brain damage, seizures, hearing loss, dementia, blindness, and death. Of course, the anti-vaxxers don’t want you to know this because they willfully do not care about the safety of children. Shame on Florida. Hopefully these anti-science dotards do the right thing and decide to protect the children.

@Uniman - RFKjr isn’t the main reason you have a measles outbreak now - but that doesn’t mean he is doing the right thing ! If you had all been vaccinated the chance of you getting measles at all would be miniscule - that those that are hit now is due to people not getting vaccinated under corona in big enough numbers - shouldn’t deteriorate the argument how stupid it is to not vaccinating people - I am against discussing on a false pretends - so you don’t have to thank me for pointing that out - but for me the reason isn’t important if RFKjr suggestion is to keep going down the path that led you here - then you will just get hit by the consequences of his bad policies in a year or two
