@THEMUGG President Obama's administration deported over 3.16 million people. President Biden’s deported 4.44 million. Not once did either need troops in the streets to do it.
That’s all you need to know about what’s happening.
Your fake tough boy created the mess in LA.

Federal judge blocks Trump asylum ban at south border. Presidents cannot deny laws passed by congress by claiming asylum seekers are invaders. Trump exceeds his authority by setting up an alternative immigration system. As in first term, he undermined legal immigration by creating huge backlog of asylum claims for Biden administration to resolve. Polls show most Americans now disapprove of mass deportation. They think ICE raids are targeting the wrong people.

Trump's first term ended with a 336,000 asylum claim backlog. Trump's first term had about 3.4 million asylum applications. So 90% of applications processed.
Biden's term ended with 3,600,000 asylum claim backlog. Biden's term had 8.9 million asylum applications. 40% of applications processed.

@Raiders22 Illegal invaders from Chili - hitting quiet neighbors of California. Police arrested three men from Chile on Friday in the quiet California suburban town of Irvine, just days after the Los Angeles Police Department formed a task force to address an international crime ring targeting luxury homes in the U.S. The arrests came after a recent spike in home robberies in Irvine, a relatively low crime area in Orange County that is about 40 miles south of Los Angeles. Well, let me add California to the list of state, I'd say w ehave an open border.
Nice to see there was still some followup on this situation:

In 2023 a trans Columbian biological male entered the United States and was released into the country by the Biden Admin after a border patrol arrest. In Massuchusetts this person had been arrested by the Medford Police Department in Massachusetts for armed robbery, prostitution and assault with a dangerous weapon. However, "due to local sanctuary policies," was once again released.
This person now facing criminal charges in New York for first-degree rape of a child less than age 17 and stalking.
Commenting on the arrest, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin lamented that "this creep should’ve never been released into our country."
"Thanks to the failed sanctuary policies and Biden’s open-border agenda, this serial criminal was freed to prey on innocent American children — but that ends now," she said.
ICE lodged an immigration detainer against Contreras-Suarez in February. He is currently in custody at Rikers Island Prison in New York until his next court hearing.

Trump administration recruits thousands of ICE agents to arrest legal and illegal immigrants. But fires dozens of immigration judges who decide whether arrests are lawful. Now courts have almost 600 immigration judges handling backlog of over 3 million cases. Disturbing this shows U.S. is becoming a political police state for mass deportation. No longer embracing due process and justice. Polls show increasing disapproval of immigration raids.

Democrat representitive Yvette Clark; 'I'm from Brooklyn, New York, we have a diaspora that can absorb a significant number of these migrants. When I hear colleagues talk about the doors of the inn being closed, no room at the inn.
'I'm saying I need more people in my district just for redistricting purposes, and those members could clearly fit here.'
Using people for political gain. That's what it's been all about from the beginning.

Myth is that US has an open border in the modern era. For decades, south border has been among the most secure in the world with extensive barriers and thousands of patrol agents. US has not had an open border since the 1920s. But unlike other presidents, Trump shows much contempt for the rule of immigration law.

Never saw thousands upon thousands wearing t shirts supporting political candidates until the biden Harris duo. The border may have been open but the biden Harris team made it historically worse.

Dog Killer Kristi said Alligator Alcatraz will be used to “lock up some of the worst scumbags” but its inmates haven’t been convicted of violated any laws.
If they are illegals or the worst scumbags, then deport them. If not, why are we holding them & providing 3 hots & a cot?
None of this shit makes sense to me.
Can someone on the right explain it to me?

Yup, temporary until a hurricane hits.
You didn't answer the question as to why these "illegals" & scumbags" have not been deported. Why are they still here?

I'm no expert on immigration/asylum law but I do know that once they make here, it's not as simple as just sending them back. There's tons of legal red tape. Trump, in his first presidency, circumvented this via executive order using covid health crisis as reasoning. It made it easier to send people back, or have them "wait in Mexico" for their respective hearings. Biden got rid of all of that and essentially gave speeches that amounted to, "The border is open."
So in short, as we have seen, deport them and face legal fights from countless liberal judges. Or detain them, and there's nothing that can be said because they are technically breaking the law by being here. This is all just my guess. The next thing liberal judges will challenge is the living conditions.
@Midnight1
Question for you, my brother from another mother.
Why do liberals seem to want these people running around? And when I say liberals, I don't mean you personally, who I know believes in law and order. Nor am I referring to anyone in particular here. I'm referring to the politicians and policy makers behind the scenes.

I can't concede that liberals want these illegals running around especially those with criminal records. For those who are children of illegals but were born here, served in the military, have a clean record & are productive members of society, they get a birthright pass from me & most liberals. I can't understand why the right would want to get rid of these people. They are working everywhere in almost every industry, pay taxes, attend our schools, become cops/firefighters, doctors etc. We need these people. I want these people.
I'm so fed up with the limp dick politicians & respect but a handful that come immediately to mind. I don't know of anyone supporting the release of any illegal that has committed crimes but rather release those who were improperly arrested & haven't been convicted of a crime. A huge net was cast & a bunch of grunts that work hard everyday doing the jobs Americans don't want got snagged. Hanging out on the grounds of colleges, or outside Home Depots or churches or baseball stadiums snatching up people because of the way they look is not what Americans signed up for regarding immigration IMO. How about hanging out where the bangers are? How about busting clubs at 3 in the morning & see what you come up with? I don't think you're going to arrest any roofers, painters etc. because their asses are home in bed because they have work tomorrow.
We can't fall back on "it's too time consuming/expensive" to prosecute the scumbags. In fact if there's a modicum of evidence they were involved in a crime they don't even get a trial. Gone...their asses are gone. Also, the myth of open borders is a talking point for the right & hasn't been the case since the 1920's. Want to get rid of illegals? I'm all for grabbing those who overstayed their visas. That should be easy pickings. They betrayed our trust & never went back home. I say, send them home now.
I tease UNIMAN about having to come out of retirement to pick cherries in Traverse City, MI. But there's some truth to it as well. Farmers are hard pressed to harvest their crops & couple that with too much rain & not enough rain and farmers are tapdancing to make a buck. Almost every farmer, meat packer, slaughterhouses, construction & restaurant owners use & needs illegals for their businesses.
Democrats don't have a immigration policy & are deeply divided over the subject. We want to take in those escaping violence or religious persecution or who just want a better life. The humane approach can only go so far & should be a short term approach to helping people assimilate into society. Unfortunately, that approach works for some but not others & they become a burden on society. I won't even try to address the current administration's immigration so called policy. Whatever the fuck that is.
Living in Florida, we want a strong border & I've commented in other threads the outstanding job our Coast Guard does intercepting boats from Cuba, Haiti et al. We had 2 boats from Haiti arrive on the shores of our small town & were stopped/arrested with notification by citizens to our local police department. This gives me confidence that protecting our borders can & should be done. The technology is here; the funding is here; the manpower is here. Is the will here?
No more excuses.

Very extensive response. I will try to do it justice. For one, it's clear someone is the Democratic brain trust wants illegals running around. If not, there wouldn't be such a thing as sanctuary cities/states. I think most constituents of the party, like yourself, believe in the rule of law, and want comprehensive immigration reforms. The politicians though, the policy makers, I question their motives.
As of now, people born here to illegal immigrants are still full fledged American citizens. Birthright citizenship may be threatened but it is still a thing. And while so called dreamers do serve in our military, do become doctors, cops, etc, illegals definitely aren't doing any of that. Illegals from Central and South America definitely aren't becoming doctors. Do you know who is? Indians and Nigerians whose parents seemed to have no issue navigating immigration the legal way.
And make no mistake about it, Democratic politicians have definitely supported policies that have led to criminals being released onto streets. Catch and release has been a thing, and has led to criminals being released only to then commit event more heinous/violent crimes. While true that illegals are responsible for a disproportionately smal fraction of overall crimes, even one is too many when speaking of someone who isn't even legally here. And we must dispel this narrative that masked mobs are just indiscriminately snatching up brown folks. They are serving warrants on known illegals. Those in the system because they either a) overstayed a visa, or b) have committed a crime only to be released. In these encounters, yes, legal citizens are sometimes temporary detained. Usually due to obstruction, or refusing to identify themselves. They aren't snatching up actual citizens and sending them to Allligator Alcatraz. To be clear, you aren't a citizen if you're hold a green card, or are here on visa. You aren't a citizen because you're a great roofer. You're a citizen when you were born here, or have been naturalized.
As far as open borders, to be clear, the border is very much open, and it's by it's own nature. The western United States in vast. The Southwest is vast. The southern border is extremely long and most of it is rugged. It's pretty indefensible. When cobservatives speak of open borders, we aren't speaking of the literal border per se. We are speaking of policies that facilitate illegal immigrantion. Catch and release, etc.
My problem is this......

My problem is the narrative that is pushed by Democrats that these are all hardworking Americans. That they're all construction wotkerd, or they're doing the jobs no one else wants to do. That is small percentage. The bulk are single mothers with young children. Oe they are unaccompanied minors. Or more than anything, they are unskilled, single young men. Men without prospects, who are ungrounded by wifes/families. And that is a recipe for disaster. And we unleash these men with no prospects, these single mothers, these unaccompanied minors, into underserved communities with already stretched thin resources. Then we gaslight these communities by saying there is no illegal immigration problem. It's all just Republican propaganda.
We do need the workforce. That is a reality. I support the hammer swingers. I worked along side of many in my yoith. Good, hardworking people. I support those people working in the food processing plants. I support workers. I support families. I just support it being done the right way. Obtain proper visas. Take the correct steps to become a citizen.
