Our cruelty towards the Haitian community here is outrageous. We know Haiti is unsafe but we decided to send hundreds of thousands back to that violent unpoliced environment. Gang rapes are a common occurrence with over 1,000 being reported in just the month of June.
Our government has offered a free plane ride home & after that, all bets are off. As of now, they are jobless & unemployable here. Friends & neighborhood perform grocery shopping duties because most Haitians are hesitant about being seen in public in fear of being swept right off the street & imprisoned. These folks are not criminals. They work next tp other Americans in the agriculture, healthcare/homecare & hospitality industries. Airport janitors, airport cabin cleaners & wheelchair services have all been released from their jobs. And even having worked for decades here, since they are "illegal" workers they don't receive any unemployment benefits. We have about 95,000 Haitians in the Florida workforce. But there's more...
On October 2 a federal court TPS order expires for over 600,000 Venezuelans who will have the same problems as those in our Haitians communities across the counry.
Meanwhile we are currently spending over 260 billion detaining & deporting law abiding TPS holders who contribute billions in taxes towards Social Security, Medicare & our public schools.

It is not cruel that we allowed them to come over here after their disaster.
It was under conditional guidelines.
Asylum requires something more than just 'Haiti is dangerous'.
They have had years to prove an individual threat based on something along the lines of: race, nationality, religion, or political opinion.
Almost none of those would apply in that country.
TPS is based on dangerous conditions in the country after the earthquake, etc.
Asylum is based on individual persecution for one of the reasons listed above.
USA cannot reasonably put their immigration policy on hold for Haiti to become stable. They won't. They have always been a dumpster fire since they got their freedom. They have always been one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
TPS was temporary. People were given years of protection and work authorization. If the government has now lawfully terminated TPS, and an individual has no other legal status or valid protection claim, then the person should leave the USA.
That is not cruel. They have been allowed to work and save money and send money back to their family while Haiti has supposedly been rebuilding their country. Now they can go back and help to rebuild it. This was a very nice and kind thing that was done for them.
You simply cannot feel sorry for every person in third-world countries that have a sob story and allow them into the country.
Because if these are allowed then other groups will say they should be allowed to stay as well, etc.
You have to put a stop to it at some point.
How was your guys story again - you came to a land as “immigrants” uninvited - killed and enslaved the natives and stole their land ? Isn’t that pretty accurate of what happened ? America's is an involving immigrant policy.
We need immigration it strengthens our country.
We need a process to allow immigration with a clear policy. A for.al way to be vetted and sustainable standards to not overwhelm public resources.
However, without proper vetting we risk terrorists coming through non approved gates.
If we could find a sustainable standards set and proper vetting we need people to help our emerging industries.
Case in point Doug Bergeron from from North Dakota...
He stated that if he released every prisoner and had every high school student graduate he will be short 1 million jobs in a state of 800k citizens. Immigration to the fracking industry is needed....
And support for industry workers. They need many immigrants to fill needs they also need hospital housing and infrastructure investments to sustain the population.
Hence legal immigration is necessary.

Correcto....conservative white Anglo condescending attitudes which is what the US has been built on and using logic or reasoning to inform those who have control is of little value.
Almost no individuals taking from this land who are not Native Americans have no more claim than the Hatians or Latin American people seeking the exact same benefit that white men who want to remove them do.
Then there is the fake insulting Christian label most of them use when it serves a purpose, that makes the condescension that much more toxic.
