 My comment was a personal experience response to another member saying their gas was lower now than when Biden was leaving office, I am saying mine is 35 cents higher yesterday than the week Biden left office..

 I think we are similar in thinking regarding gas/oil and commodities. Outside a massive unknown shock those markets are not going to move from posturing from a non-OPEC member. Trump is inflationary and recessionary in his posturing but it would take longer to cycle through. If anything his buzz saw job cuts and tariffs are bad for oil markets, they will reduce consumption and I would think oil would go much lower in a recession/stagflation scenario.

 I filled up last week at $3.69, but noticed yesterday the same GS is now $3.99......but this is WA, the state that when CA raises gas taxes says "hold my beer, watch this", so it's hard to know if that is ever any reflection of national prices.

Is it normal for the gas price to jump that far forward when you take a January 20th price example and then compare it to an April 2 price example ?

does that happen regularly ? That uptick ? Sometimes ? Never ? Is it unusual ?

do we have a way of finding statistics from the past ? From other years ?
