"The price of groceries are substantially down." Bullshit! In the month of March it was up 2.41%.

"We had all eggs, and as you know the price of eggs has come down 93, 94%. Bullshit. The national average is $6.23 a dozen.

Under new trade deal, UK will get lower tariffs while US is struck with paying higher tariffs.  That isn't a win for lower prices in the US.  US automakers complain of paying more for tariffs despite free trade deal with Canada and Mexico.  Foolish for Trump to compare US to big department store that set prices.  He believes US is saving money by not buying from other countries and that higher prices produce more revenue.  However he fails to understand that a successful store must buy and sell things.  No one gets rich by hoarding and price gorging customers.  Instead Trump tariffs make everyone worse off.

Consumer prices rose 2.3% in April from a year ago, the Labor Department said Tuesday, down from 2.4% in March and the smallest increase in more than four years. On a monthly basis, prices rose modestly, increasing 0.2% from March to April after falling 0.1% the previous month, the first drop in five years.

 This is kind of mind numbing dont you think? 2024 was a very high inflation year with several outliers that made our CPI higher that are not likely to keep repeating at a high intensity, thus why would you cheer a 2 percent increase year over year when we came off such a high year in 2024? Now if 2024 were a 2 percent CPI then yes a 2 CPI this year would be lock step and what the FED wants and is consistent etc.

Your guy campaigned on immediately lowering inflation and CPI costs, that was one of his largest lies and what drew in the idiot masses that somehow (laughingly) the POTUS has magic powers to destroy the inflation beast that Biden made...humor and idiocy to me but hey you guys swallowed his lies, so why are you happy about a 2 percent CPI when it should be a -2 percent year over year if your dood was making progress?
