In December grocery prices see biggest spike since 2022!
according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Many republicans oppose Trump proposal of lowering credit card interest rate to 10% for one year.  Similar to price control, problem is that companies could respond by restricting access to credit.

A year since his badministration returned to the White House, almost every hardship that [the racist, sex-offender] broadly promised to fix during the presidential contest two years ago - halving energy costs, making housing affordable or ending inflation - either remains a problem or has gotten worse, economic indicators show.

That hasn't stopped the CONVICTED FELON from lashing out at critics or declaring prosperity has returned when confronted with how his pledges have fallen short

They can’t defend it so they hide, just like they do with the Epstein files.

To appeal to his cult, Trump often brags about pretend accomplishments.   Claiming promises made and promises kept.  Actually, many of lying Trump promises are never achieved and he forgets promises.

CNN reports that Trump wants to increase housing costs.  He does not care about affordability.  Longer term mortgages increase total cost of interest payments.  Better solution is to increase the supply of affordable housing.

Polls show most Americans have low confidence Trump can lower prices.  Now healthcare insurance is a bigger concern than cost of food, housing or gas.  Almost 100 million Americans have medical debt.  Mistake for republicans to reject extending of Obamacare subsidies to pay for mass deportation of immigrants and billionaires tax cuts.  Problem is US has the most unaffordable healthcare system in the world with millions of Americans under insured.  Other countries spend smaller percentage of GDP on healthcare because of government intervention addressing market failure.

Gas in my area has gone down considerably and I am in California where prices are extremely high to begin with...am I saying Trump did this, no, but facts are facts and my gas at the pump is now cheaper than in years past....considerably different....whoever or whatever is responsible is ok by me.... 

And for Healthcare....fugettaboutit....it's high as hell out west and I've talked about this before with the insurance groups I work with and all have been fairly consistent in saying since Obamacare the prices had to increase due to the uncertainty of possible forced participants they anticipated in having to take on....you can call it what you want and where you want, but this has been my experience with large Health Insurance representatives at Blue Shield (Anthem), Kaiser, Health Net, Cigna and United....just gouging on the rates...

People also forget that Obamacare not only forced Health Insurance companies to take on risky participants, but they also forced the insurance companies to provide more services, which of course comes at a cost....

Some consumer items have come down a little but MOST have risen at least slightly, and many by a large amount......which of course is complete opposite to what the convicted felon/sex-offender promised  AMerica...

 My HIP's went up 400% under the Biden admin., & went up another 28% this year. Obamacare opened up a can of worms that we'll never fully recover from.

Without Obamacare, healthcare insurance would be more unaffordable.  Average cost is reduced by offering subsidies to increase enrollment among uninsured people.  Under cost sharing of larger pool, rich and young people pay more so that poor and old people pay less.  This is just one of the ways government intervention lowers healthcare spending in many countries.  US has the most unaffordable healthcare system in the world because profit driven industry can charge high prices and no one can stop it.  

Study finds Americans paying 96%
    of the cost of Trump's tariffs

ATLANTA -

A new report from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy suggests Americans — not foreign countries — are paying almost the entire cost of President Donald Trump’s tariffs, according to Wall Street Journal.

The researchers looked at nearly $4 trillion worth of shipments coming into the United States and found that about 96% of tariff costs are being paid by American importers and consumers, while foreign exporters are covering just 4%.

That directly challenges Trump's claim that tariffs are paid by other countries.

“Americans are frustrated with rising prices for groceries
and electricity, and they are fearful of the hiring recession
that’s underway right now,” Heather Long, Navy Federal
Credit Union’s chief economist, said in commentary issued Tuesday.

Other countries rank higher in fairness and access to healthcare because the rich and healthy pay more to subside the poor and sick.  Their universal systems spend a smaller percentage of GDP on healthcare.  Better for more sick people to be encouraged to see a doctor for early treatment instead of delay resulting in expensive critical care in hospitals.
