The June jobs report showed the US labor market remained more resilient than anticipated in the final month of the second quarter.

The US economy added 147,000 nonfarm payrolls in June, more than the 106,000 expected by economists. The unemployment rate unexpectedly fell to 4.1%. Economists had expected the unemployment rate to move higher to 4.3%.

In May, the US economy added 144,000 jobs while the unemployment held flat at 4.2%. Those figures were revised higher on Friday from a previously reported 139,000 job additions in May.

"You're just not seeing any feed through from tariff or trade related stress," RSM chief economist Joe Brusuelas told Yahoo Finance. "We got an absolutely solid payroll number."

Over the first six months of 2025, the latest data suggests the economy has added 782,000 jobs. That said, over the first six months of 2024, when Deadbeat Donald said the economy was terrible, the total was 985,000 jobs, and over the first six months of 2023, the U.S. economy added 1.53 million jobs.

So what's so exciting about the recent report? When the bar is so low, anything above it looks better, right?

The report also stated, which you conveniently left out, is more than half the job growth came from the state and local government sectors, and wage growth slowed sharply. Also, aggregate hours fell by 0.3 percent in the month. You also didn't mention that the unemployment rate for black workers went up 0.8% to 6.8%. Why is that?

The manufacturing sector lost 7,000 jobs in June. Employment in the sector is now 89,000 below the year ago level. Employment in motor vehicle manufacturing is 26,600 lower than the year ago level.

So answer me this...why has American job growth slowed this year to a 15 year low? 

Forgot to mention...I wouldn't believe any numbers provided by this administration.

Delusional Donald's regime claims 147,000 jobs were added in June & “shattered expectations." But how is that possible when ADP, which holds the actual payroll data for the private sector, says we lost 33,000 jobs and expected to gain 100,000? Where is Daffy Donald magically finding 147,000 new jobs?

I'll tell you where.... the same fantasyland where he added 10+ floors on to Trump Tower that don't exist. Donald the Disaster's so-called “job gains” are almost entirely from public education hiring in June when schools are closed.

 I find it funny when folks quote "year to date" numbers after Trump has been in office only 5 months. And really funny when you look it up and find the very worst was last year. 

During the current Trump administration 5000 of that 89,000 manufacturing sector was lost. The other 84,000 was during Biden's watch. 

Year 2024 saw 105,000 jobs lost in manufacturing.

Same with your motor vehicle manufacturing data going back year to date. 

And MSNBC posted the American job growth lowest in 15 years. Guess they forgot about COVID 2020 year and then applauded Biden when those jobs returned and now (actually last summer) that return has reached the end.
