60 Minutes has been one of the most respected news magazine shows for decades. Their interviews are interesting, their reports regarding our environment are enlightening & their probes into injustice are historic. Their independence in reporting is unparalleled.
However, due to political pressure & threats of losing their broadcasting license the parent company of CBS, Paramount has succumbed to threats from the Orange Manatee. There is a pending merger planned between Paramount & Skydance Media that needs FCC approval. Fear of their merger being squashed has neutered leadership of the company. As a result of internal pressure at CBS, executive director of 60 Minutes decided not to become the mouthpiece of anyone & has resigned.

Journalist Alex Thompson called out the press for failing to properly report on former President Joe Biden’s declining health at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday. Thompson, a reporter for Axios, accepted the White House Correspondents’ Association’s Aldo Beckman Award for Overall Excellence in White House Coverage. His reporting closely documented Biden’s disastrous debate performance against President Donald Trump, the events leading up to it, and Biden’s eventual decision to exit the race. In his acceptance speech, Thompson acknowledged that the press fell short in covering the story of Biden's decline.
"Being truth tellers also means telling the truth about ourselves. We, myself included, missed a lot of this story," Thompson said, speaking before a room of journalists from major news outlets.
Who is "we"? Surely you mean just the lib media, because others, including anyone with an IQ over 80, could see Dementia Joe was/is daft. So this guy is either a chickenshit or a liar.....maybe both.
