This is bothering me. I’ve seen video of him allegedly jumping off the building and running away, plus multiple images of him in the stairwell. No rifle. And yet, he supposedly hid it in the woods, wrapped in a towel. That makes absolutely no sense. It’s not like he had time to disassemble it and I have a hard time believing it was hidden under his clothes, especially while making what looks to be about a 10-15 ft tall leap from the building…..Any ideas on the 30/06 which is traditionally a long barrel rife!

There was a few references to the family being consulted as they formulate the charging documents.  Possible for compassion and mercy vs. what the state reports seeking?

 Saw that.  Admittedly the video is tough to see but it looks like the book bag is on his back.  He then puts something else in the trough and then grabs before jumping down.  He then picks it up and runs with it.

The as he gets closer to the road, he kind of fumbles with the looser object he's carrying.

This coupled with the testimony of the "friend" showing discord messages about same.  We'll wait for the forensics but seems plausible.

Some good points being made here. Chastising an assassinated person for spreading hate and stating your disdain while doing the same on this site is absolutely deplorable and everyone should be ashamed of themselves for doing so. The guy hadn't been shot and killed but a minute before all the hate and vitrol comments were already being made, as if the guy deserved such a thing to happen to him. And it comes from the same posters who constantly spew negativity and hate every day here. Have a little class and respect for someone heinously shot and murdered whether you liked him or not. This was a senseless act of a fool, not something warranted. You are free to speak however you wish, but in this particular case and context it is completely despicable. Be human first. 

Rifles aren't as long as some think. In the video jumping of the roof, it looks like he has it in his hand, covered up or in a bag of some sort. The theory about the pictures in the stairwell is that it was hidden in his pants, as there were reports of a man walking with a gimpy leg.

That's what's interesting.  I think the media got the video time stamps wrong cause they were talking about the limping in the neighborhood as before with him holding the gun.

To me head sustained tib/fib damage if not knee injury coming off that roof and the limp on video is consistent with that.

Who knows it'll all come out.

 If you are placing fault make sure to be accurate in how these reactions are going and the context of the reactions. Where are the examples as to the way you are describing here on this forum WITH context? Are you also chastising the liberal comments and the member to member attacking or are you focusing only on the content about the person who was shot?

Id suggest all sides are equally reacting with some being reasonable and some being absurd, that is the way most controversial events seem to play out here and in society as a whole. I'm more offended with how the leader of this country immediately went to the partisan liberal blame card and made no efforts to be presidential and try to make a bad situation less combative. I expect the average social ebb and flow between partisan extremes but the way this admin handles most things is so poor and very divisive. 

OK, I am curious the shooter's motive... was Kirk not right wing enough for his taste?  For clout?

See, that's the thing. Most of you turn it into a political situation when it is not always that. This is a human issue and if you notice, I carefully crafted my response to not suggest party affiliates and lines, but yet your response did. Why? It's not necessary or warranted. A human senselessly lost his life for no good reason. What does that have to do with party lines? Absolutely nothing. You just added directly into what I was saying. Once you start mentioning party lines or the president, you are the audience I posted to. Just stop. I don't care if you right or left or independent in this situation. A dumb ass senselessly murdered another human. Why does it have to cross over to a party line. That's ridiculous and just adds to my point. And why do I need to give you examples? So you can turn around with your comments and give yourself a baseline to claim I am attacking one party over another or use it against me. No reason to bait me like you try to do around here because my message was very clear that this is a human issue not a political party one. When a senseless act of murder is conducted in society it should be viewed on a human level not a political one. Many in these forums project hate towards the opposite party on a daily basis, does that mean that people should berate that person when they were just murdered. I'm talking to all of you that are putting down the guy and stating he had it coming to him, which is a crock. I don't care if you are right, left, brown, black, purple or whatever. As I said, be human first. Some of the comments being made show the true characters of individuals.     

I asked for examples that is not bait it is asking for your claims to be validated since you made them. You cant expect in a politics forum when the person who died was polarizing and destructive in the eyes of MANY people that there would not be commentary about his words and his impacts.

Here is a better example, there was a shooting the same day as this, the same equal aspect about humanity was lost...someone died due to the use of a firearm, same day same result. How many comments have been made about THAT situation versus this? THIS is the story not your fixation on the larger public spectacle. The guy made a career and wealth off divisive negative really poor commentary about those he did not agree with. 

How can you expect a different outcome when the party who died was as polarizing and abusive on this very topic?
