 I saw that and that was equally disgusting and the guy who killed her should have been behind bars based on his lengthy criminal record.  Also goes to show that a knife can do as much damage as a gun.  Again, that poor girl was murdered because soft criminal laws.

Please keep this about the loss of life and not about liberals vs conservatives. He will obviously have backlash for his choice of words and seemingly lack of concern for anything outside of his extreme conservative views but this shows the issue is real for all sides and maybe we should work harder at considering others and being more concerned for society versus scoring political points.

Yes because calling Trump, MAGA and conservatives Nazis, fascists, and a host of other very “respectable and considerate” adjectives lead to a “constructive conversation.” The examples of this is littered throughout this sub main. Certain members consistent say GFU with impunity and one guy says it and instant box. Bigdoubleplay has a point whether you like it or not. There is no fair and even dealings here. Your own post asks for one thing then takes a dig a the man who was murdered in the same sentence. I am sure that comment about his “extreme conservative views” isn’t divisive at all. I am also sure that comment was going to lead to some amazing “constructive conversation.” Come on man you do fine work in every sub main just not this one. I respectfully suggest turning it over to someone who actually has zero political interests or acumen and let them moderate but participate as just a member. But hey what do I know.

 This is going off topic so just keep on topic and allow the thread to remain in this area and not be moved. My comments are fact not partisan, he is ultra conservative he said the words he did and many viewed those as callous and disrespectful so for sure it HAS already come up in conversation. None of what I said is off topic or inaccurate nor did I or anyone diminish loss of life. You on the other hand have made several liberal off topic comments and then come and try and pull the mod card again.

Keep on topic and be respectful to others even if you disagree with them, ESPECIALLY member to member comments. 

Ironic that Charlie Kirk addressed gun violence before he was shot.  Previously, he supported gun lobby myth that right to own guns prevent tyranny in government.  However history shows dictators can still be elected to office and remain in power when security is adequate.  Instead US has a problem by favoring gun access over public safety.  Now other countries have been far more successful in reducing gun violence because of stronger gun control.
