 That's funny. I was just about to say that I can probably guarantee that there are at least some gangs in St. George. St.George is a whole lot closer to Vegas than it is Salt Lake City. 

While we're on the subjectz if you're ever in the St.George region, specifically Hurricane, Utah, and if you love coffee, check out River Rock Roasting Company in La Verkin. I randomly, maybe subconsciously, wore my River Rock hat today. I hadn't considered the significance until my wife asked if I wore it because of this incident.

If we're talking the same thing, it's some good hiking a little west of the city. Might even technically be in the city limits. If you've been to/through Southern Utah/Norther Arizona, etc, you wouldn't be blown away per se. If you haven't, I suggest visiting some of these places. Even just the Grand Canyon if you haven't been.

 St.George is a retiree area, Washington County is pretty much Hurricane and St.George, neither have a heavy hispanic population, its 80% white and 10% hispanic with an aveage age of almost 40. That area is very conservative but less than to the north of the state and especially say Cedar City.

That kid had a very strict upbringing, how he would be in a gang with those parents is a bit of a long shot stretch.

Again, nobody is saying he was in an actual gang. I'm saying there are reports than he was a part of the LGBTQ community. That's the gang.

I've been to/through St.George many of times. You pass though it going to many of the Utah parks on the most common route from the Bay. Even since I have lived in Oregon, I have came though that region via 15 from the north but then left via 15 heading southbound to stop in Vegas.

With that said, things change WSC. Any area with a 10% hispanic population (not counting Cubans, etc) has gangs. That's not racism. It's a fact. There are 13's as far as Montana now. They are definitely in Southern Utah.

Well one thing is for sure if there is a way to connect him to the left and libs there are thousands of super sleuths working on making it a reality even if it isnt.

That kid does not look like a gang member or a lefty or anything outside of a dummy who does not understand the impacts of their anger and acting out. He looks like most any kid his age that you would see on that campus. I have family and friends living there in Orem/Provo and I spent time there myself but that is not something I am going to get into of course.

 The President proclaimed he was Radical left before Kirk died! And he couldn’t be happier if he has any affiliation even it was the Boy Scouts!

He and his family were members of the mega conservative LDS church but that tells you there is no branding or generalizing of human behavior even if Trump tries hard to make it so.

I don't believe he is in a gang. The gang reference was to the LGBTQ+ community. The alphabet gang. I saw a picture of him rocking both a traditional gay pride flag AND a trans flag. To be clear, I have no axe to gring against that community. I support that community. I just find it noteworthy that some recent attacks have been carried out by members of that community. Ironic.

To your first point, it goes both ways. How many times have we seen super slueths speed run connecting the attacker to anything conservative? To Maga? Rarely does anyone on either side cares about the victims. It's all political footballs. It's all b.s.

I think it has been established that he is radical left, though. Whatever that means to whoever. People close to him have said as much. With that said, to WSC's point, in that region, it wouldn't take much to be labeled "radical left". So who knows. The truth of many of these recent cases, the common thread, are sad, damaged, confused individuals. Kids. None of this stuff is really about politics.

 Some are saying he only went to USU for one semester and then went on an LDS mission which would make sense with how devout his family is and his upbringing. I do not see him as radical anything, at a maximum he did not understand the implications of his differences with Kirk. The more that social media deadens responsibility and accountability the more often we will see this happen. 

The LDS church already threw out their PR which of course is to CYA on a family who are devout members.

I don't think he was a radical anything either. Just a confused kid, probably carrying around a lot of internal struggle and pain.

Mass shooters often appear to be normal people.  Angry young men with access to guns.  No criminal record.  No mental illness.

100% this. And yes, it is pure evil. I talk about this often, and even sometimes mention it here. Mass media entities, whether traditional print, cable news, or now social media, they all employ psychologist. Their task is to study the human mind to determine the best way to drive "engagement". This started with the 24 hour cable news cycle but exploded with the click based business model of social media. They realized that it's much easier to play on emotions like fear, rage, insecurity, etc than empathy, love. That's why news coverage is the way it is. Some of the earliest examples of this that I personally can remember are the coverage of the gulf war, and the coverage of the OJ trial but it was the OJ trial that really foreshadowed what was to come. An issue as old as time, man possibly, allegedly kills estranged wife and her lover in a crime of passion became a story about race in America. Even though OJ hadn't been black since the 70's. 

So eliciting fear and rage, or at times simply contempt became the business model. And it is a multilevel mechanism. On the bottom, you have content creators. Some of which have positioned themselves to make butt loads of money. I mean, Charlie Kirk was essentially a kid when he started. He build a multi-million dollar entity. With a little help, obviously, but that's a deeper part of the story. So you have content creators. And to be clear, the shows on cable news are just content. Then you have networks and social media companies but it is the social media companies that are truly evil. Social media, at it's inception, had no monetization strategy. First came ad revenue. Then came data mining. And both of these required their users to be completely locked into that device. So what stories do their algorithms push? Those that stoke fear, anger, divisiveness. They just want you locked onto that page. They don't care how healthy it is for the user. It's like cigarette companies. They know for fact theybare peddling an unhealthy product. They know it's killing you. They don't care.

So at one end you have content creators. And in the middle you have networks, both traditional media and social media. And at the top, you have the oligarchs who really run this country. And they just want your attention focused away from their machinations. They don't want you questioning how much it actually costs to build an F-35. They push and illusion of a two party system when neither party's politicians actually serve their constituents. They all serve the oligarchs. The all serve capital management firms. They serve billionaires. They serve AIPAC. And they love pushing division. Along party lines. Racial lines. They attempted to divide men and women. Put us at odds. None of it is coincidence. It's pretty simple. Our monkey brains love to organize things into groups. Love to put things in boxes. You see it in children from a very young age. And we're clanish. So are all other great apes. We play right into their hands.

 Correct. In that moment, with that singular action, he became a leftwing extremist. All other nuance aside, this is an unavoidable fact.

Looky here ! It appears that the Groypers were actually angry at Kirk for the opposite reason, that he backed off the Epstein story in July 2025. And Mr Robinson was a follower this ultra right wing movement! If this is true Trump missed the pitch again! This may be a case of friendly fire!   Hopefully the truth will slip out of truth prison !

 Its amazing the left & right is praying for ultra opposite assassins…It makes no difference a person is dead for no logical reason, but this make 100’s millions for political war chests! You can hear the drums already!

I would expect a 100% walk back from the liberal trashing that Trump and the ultra right have been pounding, they have a strong sense of character and are more concerned with the truth and creating unity in society than to make a deceptive disgusting media splash and then walk away.

A true Christian would first not tell others to repent and condemn, and if a true Christian made a combative and judgemental error they seek forgiveness and make an admission of their sin and seek repentance themselves for unrighteous judgement and correct the lies they spun.

It will be glorious and unifying to see the ultra right reach out and make society a better place and hopefully change for a better future.
