From what I've read, he was rescued after he crashed the car he hijacked.

But I don't know what led up to this guy blowing a gasket. I know he was released early from prison when his murder charge was pled down to aggravated assault & was released early. Is that the point you are making?

In addition to the five people murdered, another 25 were injured – including 19 who were shot.

Investigators are still working to determine a motive, including whether the shooting was a hate crime.

Police identified the suspect as Anderson Lee Aldrich. He had an AR-style long rifle during the attack, and a handgun.

In June 2021, Aldrich was arrested in connection with a bomb threat.

Always sad to see of another shooting....Even worse, sad to see another shooting where the alleged shooter had already been profiled as a threat by the FBI.  WTF.  

, but after no bomb or bomb making materials where found prosecuters declined to pursue charges which allowed Aldrich to evade Colorado's red flag laws. 

Colorado springs shooter has been charged with multiple murders and hate crimes that seems to be fueled by rhetoric against gay community.  Fortunately, two patrons stopped the shooter otherwise casualties might have been greater.  Usually, unarmed civilians are more likely to stop mass shooters than armed good guy with a gun.  Lack of evidence to show police, metal detectors, locked doors and guards can prevent mass shootings.  Gun control is the only thing proven to work in many countries.

The hatred in our world is off the charts & only getting worse.

I surmise it's always been here, though certainly not to this degree.

It began getting noticably worse here in early 2009.....Then, empirically, tolerance seemed to erode alarmingly fast in the years since early 2017, for some completely unknown reason...

This madness keeps happening and happening, close to daily basis. Mass gun violence is unique in America, nothing came close from other countries on this planet.    

It happened in Virginia, a Republican governor state. 

7 mass shootings in 7 days

Americans are not safe at work, in church/mosques/synagogues, in a grocery store, in a club or restaurant, in a parking lot, in a school or college campus, in a mall shopping, watching a parade etc. etc. 

Meanwhile we have members of Congress sending pictures of their families holding guns during the holiday season. What exactly are they promoting, huh? Family values?

Blood in the streets; is this the red wave that was being promoted? 

So it should be noted by clear implication, and this should be shouted from the rooftops as fact: that gun violence NEVER happens in America when a Republican is in the White House. NEVER.  It only happens when a Democrat is in the White House.   That's 24 years of GOP rule in our adult lifetimes where there was no gun violence at all, because the GOP was in the White House.   Clearly the Democrats are only to blame for gun violence.

Red states have more violent crime rates. Eight out top ten states with violent crime rate are from the red states.*
