It was an amazing setup and quite impressive but my first thought is this would NEVER exist in the USA because society does not work together and no way would subsidies required for this ecosystem be allowed in a capitalism economy and that nobody cares about harm to the environment or about waste or about use of pesticides or the over consumption of groundwater for this purpose...its all about capitalism and political subsidies to certain industries in a very inefficient and ineffective way.

It was an amazing setup and quite impressive but my first thought is this would NEVER exist in the USA because society does not work together and no way would subsidies required for this ecosystem be allowed in a capitalism economy and that nobody cares about harm to the environment or about waste or about use of pesticides or the over consumption of groundwater for this purpose...its all about capitalism and political subsidies to certain industries in a very inefficient and ineffective way.

I do agree with wall. That it is a difference in priorities and mindset that for the most part dont make US a contender for these and which sets you apart from Europe in general - which is fine - you are not supposed to mimic us (that is for you to decide) - but you are not even the perfect version of your way of looking at things - we pretty much are ! Both Sweden and Denmark for instance has part of our land where people live entirely on their own - their own rules, no government interventions - no taxes etc. - that is what a mindset like yours would consider the optimal system — You have the worst of both worlds - you are not free and the government doesn’t take care of you
Don't mention the frogs - we don't want to scare the toddler - we want him to sleep
