I suggest googling poker stove and playing around with it to find out the odds, or watching WSOP on espn or WPT on GSN or TC and write down the little percentages they give you preflop on combinations (overcards, little pair vs bigger pair, suited, outer/inner [You have AT, he has KQ] and such).  make a spreadsheet or a piece of paper with the combos and the percentages where you can see them and a W column and a L column.  Put a tick mark in the column when the hand holds up or loses. Do this on every hand that you see the cards, not just the ones you play. after enough hands, you can get a good feel for if the numbers hold up or dont.  I do it every now and then to be sure that the site hasnt gone rogue.  I have never had any single hand combination come outside the statistical variance. feel free to sharkscope me at pokerstars   flatiron88  .  I play low buy in no limit tourneys (i like the 180 player 12+1 turbo, the 15+1 turbo one table).  In the 180 player I may only play 9%-13% of the hands (including my blinds) until it gets to the money.  I have a +ROI (return on investment, or how much money do I make on each dollar i invest in buy in) of 35% and that number has been steady for the last 8 months since i had time to start playing some more than usual. I have had an account there for over 5 years. I get my butt kicked at the ring games on a regular basis so I DONT PLAY RING GAMES ANYMORE.
Oh, and when i have played live (including $1500 buy in WSOP events) i have seen 22 beat AA with runner runner 22 on the turn and river for quads, as well as improbable flush hits with 4 suited cards on the board (of course 1 on turn and 1 on river) for 57o to hit the flush and break KK.  If you play enough hands you will see everything, and be on the wrong side of it many of them.

    To summarize:
    1.   if you think it might be rigged, do the homework and see.
    2.  look at your game and your statistics (they give you the ability to do this easily) winners rarely play (see the flop) more than 10% of the hands dealt to them before getting to the money where the tables become short handed.
    3.  read books on poker strategy, statistics, mindset and such and take time to digest it ALL, not just the parts you agree with.  I have a library of poker books including low limit poker (no fold em hold-em) up to advanced tournament strategy.  If it was easy, we'd all be rich from playing it.  Just like handicapping (which i assume some of us must do since that is what covers is about) it takes effort, time and patience.

more than my 2c worth, probably closer to $1.50.

thats exacxtly what i did with a piece of paper taped to my desk. When I first started I thought it was rigged bullshit too but its all in ur selective memory, all of ours.

Then after you see the hands are holding like they should you start to work on your game instead of making excuses

    great post

If money is involved, than yes there is a solid probability that something shady is going on. You want proof, well that's impossible. I can give you history. Google any of the following:

    1) Poker - absolute poker scandal

    2) NBA - tim donaghy

    3) NCAA  - scooter mcdougle, john "hot rod" williams, the early 90s arizona st team, multiple others

    4) MLB - 1919 black sox world series

I do not believe everything is fixed, however if you really honestly believe that there is no fixing in online poker via multiple accounts, collution, increasing the rake with big pots, etc, you are rigtard.

You make too much sense.  You have been saying what I have stated all along, and you will offend those that say they do not rig poker hands.  Logical points like yours mean you are just a bitter person.

He recognized my mad game skillzzz and doesn't wanna play anymore.  ok ok...we tried connecting a few times, but either I wasn't around or he.

Electric, we should finish up, see however wins 7 first over a period of time, or best of 7.

He is a good player, he snuffed out a few monsters I had, really tried mixing it up...unfortunately to say, the 3 games we had were hard fought, back and forth and atleast 30+min long.

hate saying good shit about that tranny!

Nobody ever said Electric was not a good poker player.  It it hard to say anything else good about him because he goes off subject a lot and acts like he knows everything.  Plus, a man is only as good as his word, and he regularly lies.  The reality is that he is just a douche who makes okay money playing cards.  Why do you think he makes multiple posts to himself in the poker forum?

Are you talking to me or yourself??? lolololol

Dude I and ChanceP have tried to reason with you, tried to explain why you think its rigged, tried to explain how we once felt the same way, tried to explain that you probably have leaks in your game, tried to explain poker is a brutal grind and sometimes it feels the world is against you, tried to explain how you could even prove to yourself its not rigged, etc etc etc etc

But from the very first time I or ChanceP (who most of ur battle was with) talked about winning money online you called us liars, cheats, and schills for the site, even going as far as saying we work for fulltilt, which is just totally laughable. We're normal guys who have woprked hard on their games and now we;re winning online, along with some of our other friends as well. If you stopped shouting and trying to spread bullshit and actually listened for once you'd see all this, you'd take some of my/our advice, youd begin to improve, and you'd start to see "the light" as far as becoming a winner. But NO, since you took a beat last Friday nite with your $50 deposit all of a sudden the whole game is rigged and noone can win, JUST CUZ YOU CANT.

Youre dumb dude and your excuse making act is tired. Give it a rest

    electric-

U defend online poker as if it were the second coming of Christ. Do u think the RNG is truly randomn and not predictable? I ask this cuz Im sure u would just label me as another bad player, but Im tellin u man Ive laid down the best hand over and over seemingly thousands of times, only to find out once again the worse hand would have won. I want to see the statistical tests and verify empirical evidenceof the randomness and assure that the variance is legit on Bodog.

he already knows its not random, and trying to reason with him is a total waste of time since more then likely hes paid to suck people into these rigged sites. nobody could possibly be that ignorant............i don't think!!??

OK of course it's holdem poker where this shit happens and of course online  and they have sites that are fixed i have read several times that people get sucked out on by the worst hands in history like the person shouldnt even be in hand pre flop but sure Enough a weak   6 10  off suit takes down your AA  or KK or any top hand with a board that blows your mind

HERE is what i have lost to

Holding KK  last to act  I preflop raised $1000 every one folds except 1 guy  Flop   8 K  A  i go all in for $45000 thy call open up 6 - 10 off suit turn card  a 7  river a 9 OMFG  and it happens every signle time  of course it's nothing more than a board game everyone shares 5 common cards  !

To me this is not real poker just a variton of 7 card stud  your two down cards are in hand the flop would be 5th street but you can lose with aces full to another who holds aces full !

Can't happen in 7 stud or draw poker impossible but holdem anything can happen no matter how perfect you play your postion theres always that one on a streak that can't lose that will take YOU out !

Best site to play on NO risk of funds is pureplay.com YOU can be a paying meber for a year for only $183  and play in as many cash tourneys you want per day !

OR just play free restricted to small cash tourney's and suffer through crashes and ads !
