Knock it off or find another thread to post in, your choice.
Take a bad joke already. It's the Super Bowl, the #1 night in America for domestic violence. I don't in any way condone domestic violence, but it happens. In other words, it means go find something about as useful as beating your wife instead of posting. JOKE dude, bad joke! Wipe the crap off your typing hand!

i like better defense in this situation, Steelers have better D in regular season and postseason than Cards.
regular season,
Overall Defense, Steelers #1, Cards #19
You may argue that Cards play much better defense in playoffs. here is how both teams compare in postseason.
postseason,
Overall Defense: Steelers #2, Cards #6
Passing Defense: Steelers #5, Cards #10
Rushing Defense: Steelers #1, Cards #6.
These numbers dont mean shit. In fact, they are fucking stupid. 3 of the team "ahead" of Arizona played 1 fucking game....get a clue dude.... Arizona has played 3 playoff games to Pitts 2.....AZ has played 1 playoff road game to Pitts 0....Pitt got to play a west coast team @ home, in the cold with LT not in action....
Total rushing yards given up by AZ:
Phil......97 (ranked 22nd reg season) Carolina.....75 (3rd) Atlanta .......60 (2nd)
If ole Willie dont get to 80 yards the Big Bend Over will have to beat this team....Mcnabb, Ryan and Delhomme couldnt......

How Arizonas defense played in the regular season is irrelevant in the Super Bowl. They remind of the 2007 super bowl champs Indy Colts, where Arizona has made adjustments going into the playoffs. Of course there offense reminds me of the 2000 super bowl champs St. louis Rams scoring alot of points. I think its gonna be a interesting Super Bowl and I like Arizonas chances to play tough maybe even winning it all, although its to early to know who Im betting on.........................good luck

The problem is they haven't changed so those stats are still relevant. Their secondary still sucks and they still don't get enough pressure upfront.

This game just has to go over. I already hit it at 46.5
GREAT receivers on both sides of the ball. Veteran QB's, BOTH with rings. Weather not a factor (shouldn't be).
As far as a side? No idea. I'm leaning Steelers but going against Kurt Warner and his co-pilot Jesus Christ just doesn't sound that appealing right now. GL everyone

This has the same feel to me as the Colts / Bears Super Bowl, everyone lining up to take what looks like a nice TD cushion. Back then it was "the Bears defense will keep it close" and this time it's "Arizona's offense will keep it close" Back then I took the Colts with the best offense in the league, and now I'm going to back the Steelers with the best defense in the league. Both of these games have the same spread and total too, very interesting.
The winner of the game historically gets the cover.
I'll have a lot more as the game gets closer, but I'll be on the Steelers for sure.

Unlike in regular season, IND played very good defense in playoffs in 2006, esp. the rushing defense. So at the time of SB matchup, Colts were not much of a weaker defense team than Bears. I saw Cards played much better defense in playoffs than in regular season but Steelers are better in D than Cards now.

BOL 3rd..........Steelers are a strong bet here............I just don't know if I should pull the trigger now at 7 or hope that I can get it at 6.5........I'm startin' ta think this line is guna be the kind that keeps movin in Cards favor even tho the public is all over them tho

Keep in mind though 3rd...the Cardinals were ahead early on in every game they've played in the postseason, so a lot of the defensive statistics are skewed.

Does anybody remember Oakland VS Tampa Bay in 2003? You have two pissed off ex Pitt coaches. Two years ago they were cultivating Rothlesburger....They will get in his head!!!!!
AZ straight up
Do
you think its personal to Arizona's Whisenhunt and Grimm? You
have spurned Whisenhunt and Grimm ...could be a similar nightmare for
Steeler's offense.....
This is the "day After" headline from 2003.
See
below what Gruden did to OAKLAND!!!!!
"Every play they've run, we've run in practice," Tampa Bay safety
John Lynch said. "He taught Gannon. He was in Gannon's head."
How
good was the Tampa Bay defense?
The
Bucs limited the Raiders to 19 yards rushing, 269 total yards and just 11 first
downs. Oakland had just 62 total yards in the first half, second-lowest total in
Super Bowl history. And the five interceptions of Gannon were the most he had in
any game this season. He finished 24-of-44 for 272 yards and two touchdowns.
Credit the win also to Gruden, who left Oakland for Tampa Bay in what seemed at
the time far too much in draft picks and cash -- $8 million to be exact.
Although Gruden denied it, his knowledge of his old team worked out perfectly.
"Every play they've run, we've run in practice," Tampa Bay safety John Lynch
said. Kiffin, the defensive coordinator, wasn't surprised the Bucs seemed to
know just about everything the Raiders would do. "Jon Gruden was Gannon. Nobody
can be like Gannon like Gruden can," Kiffin said. "He taught Gannon. He was in
Gannon's head."

Well, I believed in AZ moneyline last week - I'm more interested in the total this time though. I will put a small wager on the AZ ml/+7, but really looking hard at the Over here.
Although AZ has done a good job vs the run in the postseason, Parker should more resemble his output in the SD game than the Balty game. He just could not run against the Ravens all season. It will be like night and day for Big Ben when he's passing. The AZ d-line was not getting much of a push, and Ben should have plenty of time. Hines Ward is huge though, I know he says he will play, but I need to hear a % or something, he needs to not only be out there, but be effective. All in all, I'm not too worried about Pitt getting their share of the points here.
As for AZ on Offense, I have more concern, obviously, b/c of the D they are facing. AZ is clicking, they have that on their side. Who stops Fitzgerald? Nobody does. If they overplay that, then Boldin, Breaston, will be there. They picked up blitzes well w/ releases and dump-offs against Jimmy J's Defense. As I recall, I saw Flacco several times have all day to pass as he just looked and looked - unfortunately, the Ravens have one decent WR. Warner has that time more often than not - they will be ok. I'm not sure either how much of a running game they will be able to get here, that's a concern.
Over is going to probably be biggest play...
BTW, if anyone can fill me in on the 2H of the AZ game - I had to miss it for a basketball game. What did the Eagles do to stop the AZ Offense? Did the AZ D let up a little?

This one-dimensional stuff is a little bit overhyped. We knew all year that Arizona was not much of a running team and they did fine in games they did not run the ball so far. In each playoff game they averaged less than 3.5 yards a carry which is pretty lousy, but that did not matter so much. In their big win over Dallas earlier in the year, they had 50 yards rushing total.
We all know Arizona will not be able to run all that well vs the steelers and I don't know if thats any different then how most teams play the steelers. I wouldn't be too happy if I'm a cardinal fan and they come out trying to "establish" a running game. One of the biggest myths in football is you need to do this to win football games for whatever reason. It obviously helps quite a bit, but it is much easier to move the ball thru the air. Patriots have known this for quite some time and they'll line up time after time and throw the ball with an occasional run mixed in. Not being able to run is more or less a given in this game and will not decide the outcome.
The outcome is going to rely on the Arizona defense and Warner's right arm.

I agree to an extent, but against a defense as good as Pittsburgh it could be a big problem. They get to the QB, and if they can pin their ears back and go after Warner with no fear of getting beat by the run, well then Zona is toast.
And yes, I think this game gets decided by Pitt's offense vs Zona's defense.
