Stop being a bitch. Nobody is full of it here but you. Most books had 2, 2.5 or 3 at gametime for the Philly/Indy. If you have a local, sometimes they shade lines toward certain teams....Why would I say -1? Why not just ML?

Even though the Steelers are 14 point picks, I can tell you this year that double digit favorites are 7 and 10 for the season. Jimmy sucks make no mistake, but all he has to do is get the ball to S. Smith who hasn't had a TD since week two and all hell could break loose. In this case the pass sets up the run just like Montana and the 49ers West Coast Offense.
The On-side kick was NO FLUKE. Aaron Brown who played defensive End for the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs did the same thing to the Denver Broncos. Believe it or not Brown got the same "Good Luck Bounce" and was GONE, Touchdown.
You can find him in Canton at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I believe the BIG play here is the total. I see these two teams putting up 60 points. Tran, I hear what your saying but the thing your missing is that the Raiders pass defense is avg. AT BEST. That 5th ranking is a little misleading. They have a difficult time stopping solid running backs. Teams gash them early and often and then just continue to run on them in the second half. I understand that the colts don't have a great ground game but you still have to respect the run. More importantly, respect what Manning can to do a secondary with his arm even without a running game! With the exception of Asomaugh this Raiders secondary is below average... The Colts will spread those receivers out, which can cause huge problems for Routt and Johnson, who have been beaten often this year. The key will be if the Raiders can get to Manning and get to him often. If they do this, it will knock of the rhythm Manning relies on to pick apart Defenses. The good news for Raiders backers, they are tied for third in the league with 40 sacks. If they don't get pressure, it will be a matter of time until Manning shreds that secondary apart.
I do see the Raiders running all over the Indy D and running screens out of the backfield along with short crossing routes with Zack Miller. This should open things up down field with Ford and Murphy allowing opportunities for the home run ball. Again, I wouldn't look at these defensive numbers for Oakland, This is NOT a solid defense. What a surprise: a Dec. 2010 join date LOVING an OVER.
Did you fail to take into consideration Oakland's run-heavy, ball control offense? They look to SHORTEN the game, which is how most team's look to attack the colts anyway. Keep Peyton and their prolific passing offense off the field.
This game will go over 60 points (as you said) probably 1 out of 50 times.
Oh, and Austin Collie (Peyton's favorite target, it's not Wayne anymore) is out for the season.

The best part about this game is I get to play-against the pompous idiot, Train.
Just bought a little bit of Colts -133 to win, a fair price IMO.
Train, you can back the team that was all but eliminated from the playoffs. I'll back the team that just re-gained control of their division. Motivation plays a big factor late in the season.

Asomaugh limits Wayne. Peyton will have to depend on Blair White and Jacob Tamme. Donald Brown may do okay, may not. You never know with the Colts running game. Oakland's defense is nothing special, but neither is Dallas' and I believe they got 18 for 3 picks, 2 for TDs at Indy. The Black Hole will be fired up. The Raiders usually get up for games when you least expect them to. They shocked the Steelers last year. They swept San Diego this year. The Colts greatest weakness is their run defense. Well, about the only thing Oakland does well is run. McFadden, Reece, and Bush are balling right now. Campbell won't be asked to do much except try to keep the chains moving and 18 off the field. Raiders will probably find a way to lose this game (or refs will do it for them), but they will likely cover this game, if not win it outright throwing a monkey wrench into the AFC playoff picture.

Manning will find a way to win, possibly by one point or three, but even if you hate him you should agree he is a proven winner. For the Colts to even be in this position this year is a testament to Manning's grit and determination.
I feel a 7-point tease with Oakland +10 (or maybe better if I wait) and over 40.5. These teams should score some points against one another.
But that's just my opinion.
