Jay Rood......director of book at the Mirage.... (in a radio interview).....when asked about this story....indicated the largest bet taken actually was 7 figures at Bellagio....> same bet.... Colt's ML i have read in BS forums like this one..... that it was Adam Meyer
since then it is rumored that B Walters placed a bet on Colt's -4 for 2 mil.....at Bellagio also.....P Ivey as beard.....
i heard Fezzik talking on a radio show today... he said his original bet was on Colts (-2.5) and Colts (-3)... but he said he might buy back on the Saints at (+5)... i believe his bet was at the Hilton, but not sure...
but remember, sharps don't bet in Vegas...

Is the Fezzik you're referring to the one who finished high in the Hilton contest?

That guy has been money for the last two years, I believe he won it last year hitting at a very high percentage. I hate going against his plays
he did win it last year... but if it makes you feel any better, he didn't sound like he was that strong on either side... he thinks it will be high scoring... but mostly he was talking about finding value in prop bets...

Probably be a no play if there were more games on the board.
Do you remember any of his stronger prob bets Ice?

At Matchbook, you could get as much as you wanted down at a fair price (better than -110), and Pinnacle, Greek, and Bookmaker will all take big bets. You could use combinations of those books too. Betfair is another option.
A "sharp" is someone who can get this kind of money down on a Tuesday night game if he wanted to, at the best price. The problem with the story is not that a guy bet 200K, its that he is referred to as a "respected sharp".
The flaw in your "logic" is that you don't KNOW what juice the "sharp" paid in Vegas. While some online books allow bets at little juice - there are guys who bet a lot that get GREAT lines in Vegas that the rest of us will never see. So save your bs about being in the know - unless you've dropped 200 large on a game (you haven't or you wouldn't be here wasting time posting) you simply don't know. So save the lesson, you ain't the teacher...

alot of his discussion was about how to play props successfully... like the fact that most people try to find "seemingly" 50/50 props where they are getting slightly plus money (+120 or whatever)... and he said there is usually a good reason the favorite is minus money, and that is usually going to be where you find a better play...
the one prop bet (or bets) he is strong on involve Bush... he thinks Reggie goes over in carries, yds, etc... he also pointed out that, if you like Reggie Wayne, Garcon, and other Indy WRs, because you think Indy will pass all day long... just bet the under on Addai's yards (around 65 i think)... stuff like that...
i think he said he was going under on Shockey... even though he explained that if Shockey were healthy there would be incredible value on the overs (yds and receptions)... but he saw Shockey in practice and said he doesn't look good...
that's about all i can remember specifically... like i said, i got the impression he really liked Bush over yds, carries, receptions... whatever... thinks that the Saints tend to underuse him because they worry about injuries, but this is the SB, and they will milk him for all he's worth...

good point... Fezzik made one comment that i found ironic, in light of this thread... said the greatest collection of wiseguys and sharps you will ever see is on a Tuesday night the weekend after the conference championships at the Hilton Hotel...
but what the fuck does that guy know?

Hmmm, Cjack ring a bell here? Almost this same exact thread claimed that Texas was the lock of the century and that all the Vegas big dogs were on them. What happened there?

for the record... and this IS a matter of public record, it is well known...
EVERY big hitter and Sharp was on Colts ML... i am pretty sure the sharp that is being talked about in this thread was Billy Walters... he had a big play on Colts ML...
so, for the people claiming this thread was BS, and was intended to mislead... you're clueless...
everyone knows that Phil Ivey, Bill Walters, Fezzik, Brandon Lang, and a few others were all HEAVY on Colts ML...
there were no Sharps that i am aware of who had the Saints ML...

The public record of sharps? "There were no sharps that I am aware of that were on the Saints"?? Every big hitter and sharp was on the Colts ML???
You have a very high opinion of yourself to assume that:
1. You know every "sharp" 2. Every "sharp" would check in with you.
It is so funny to me to think that you somehow know what sharps bet, as if there are arent plenty of "sharps" who bet from their living rooms.
Phil Ivey is a sharp? A sportsbetting sharp? Please. Brandon Lang is a sportsbetting sharp? Please. Is Charles Barkley a sharp because he bets big too?
Im not going to get into yet another long debate with you - but your comments are laughable. Actually, your percentage of laughable posts at covers is setting new records.
