it says he wagered "200,00 on the colts to win", which i actually assume means hes on the money line.
If he bet the ML, chances are he laid even more juice in relation to what he could have laid than -110.

And another note....
It is kind of funny (assuming this is a ML bet) that 200K to win about 90K is somehow newsworthy.
It is a reflection on Vegas and just how lame it has become.

Anyone willing to make this bet in Vegas is a square by definition.
there will come a day when (not IF... only WHEN) all of these online books are gonna take the money and run... and there is nothing anybody anywhere will be able to do to get your money back for you...
all of those squares who make their plays in Vegas (where there is never any threat of the government deeming your wagers illegal, or any risk of being unable to collect on a wager) are going to look like geniuses while you are chasing money you will never see again...
anyone who thinks otherwise is simply naive...

hey... i used to use online books... have used them for many years... but i'm not stupid enough to really believe that was a safe way to gamble... the federal government has been intentionally vague and wishy-washy with their legislation...
a couple years ago there was a good scare among internet gamblers... today everyone seems to have forgotten about that...
what i learned in that short time, is that it is only a matter of signing a piece of paper to lock up all of that money in an instant... and there will not be a single thing you can do about it...
the fact is... and this is indisputable...
there is 0 risk in making wagers in a Las Vegas sportsboook... many many handicappers who are more concerned with making the right picks than with pinching pennies on reduced juice, are, have been and will always continue to make their humongous wagers at Vegas sportsbooks... because the same cannot be said about online books... it cannot! you can wish it all you want... but the fact is, online books are a risk, and THAT is why you get reduced juice, and all of those other bonuses and promos that you will never get in Vegas...
so for you to use the comment, Cavemen looking up at stars, is to redefine the term "irony"...

Ron... Vegas books have much higher limits on the SB... but i would imagine this is a bet that involved someone who has a good account with one of the major books... not a bet you or i could make by walking into the casino... but one that a certain selection of people can make...
usually to make a bet that big someone would have to place several smaller bets at a number of books...

I guess maybe you should tell this to the dozens of other people making 200K+ wagers online for this game. They might be happy to hear of your ominous warning and incredible insight.
You are a caveman looking up at the stars because there is a big difference in "using an online book" (as you state) to being someone who has experience in this type of scenario. You are speculating.
Let see.... You have a choice to lay -110, be publicly discussed, and lay your bet in vegas or you can lay little to no juice, do it in anonymity, and lay your bet online. I dont doubt that someone like you thinks that the guy making in vegas is the "sharp" guy, but there are hundreds who would think differnetly, and those are the people that ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT INSTEAD OF WONDERING WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE.

I bolded the key statement above.
Do you imagine what it would be like to perform surgery, or fly a plane, or be President?

did you guys not even read the opening post? seriously... figure it out! the Colts are winning this game, without a doubt! it is just a matter of how much...
do you really want to take your chances getting a TD or less with a team that will definitely lose the game?

ice4blood is covers "shock jock".
He consistently posts outrageous comments about things he knows nothing about. I have yet to determine if he is as ignorant as his posts suggest, or if he just likes the controversy.
